well it sounds very unrealistic. for one, her comeback would probably be highly anticipated with a huge lead single (where there has not been anything), and another thing, the 30th april isn't a monday so I don't think it's true. :P

Really looking forward to a comeback. That must meen Adele isn't too far behind. I've noticed Mercy is being played more on Radio stations as well. Mercy just doesn't get old. I still love the beautifully sung Warwick Avenue. Stepping Stone is still a brillant cover and Rain On Your Parade still should've been the theme song for the James Bond movie.
I've been waiting to hear about Duffy's next album, can't wait! Rockferry was a great album. :)

I reckon it'll be a little earlier than late 2010/early 2011, because she finished her recording sessions for the second album in January 2010.

Maybe it'll be a late summer/early autumn release, with a massive single in the summer to precede it.

:yahoo: Can't wait!!! I was obsessed with her throughout 2008, I swear Rockferry never left my CD player!!! My DS name was I  Duffy  Aaaaaahhh I'm so excited now!

Ye maybe it is and EP but i was very surprised that i hadn't heard antthing. even if you type Duffy - new song into YouTube nothing comes up. Unless there's a new Duffy coming :P

Duffy 2.0

I doubt it'll be released on the 30th April, there's not even been a lead single released!

Personally, I'm really excited for it, as I love Duffy. I can't wait to hear what she releases next

You know I was wondering what on earth had happened to Duffy recently :P . Its great to hear that she's got a second album coming out this year :cheer: . Such an awesome talent! I'm going to be interested in seeing what the second album has to offer :) .
I'm looking forward to hear new material from her :) not a big fan but i love her music  and her distinct voice :)
I love Duffy's music too, and I think it's really cool how she came up through the Welsh music scene (if you've never heard Hedfan Angel, you need to). But I'm sure there will be a trailer single before the album...
Looking forward for her new material and to know if she changes the style. I used to hate Mercy at the beginning, but i love it now :w00t:

The last I knew was:

Duffy Working With Questlove, Hammond On Sophomore LP

Billboard.com

by David J. Prince, N.Y. | January 12, 2010 2:44 EST

Welsh singer Duffy is working with Roots drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and veteran songwriter Albert Hammond Sr. on her sophomore album, Billboard.com can reveal.

A planned three-week session just got underway in New York, with Thompson and Hammond contributing both songwriting and production ideas. A source who has heard the early material says it "feels like it was born in 1963" and is much in the vein of the Dusty Springfield-inspired soul found on her smash 2007 debut, "Rockferry."

As previously reported, Thompson has also contributed to singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles' upcoming sophomore album for Epic. Hammond, whose is the father of Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr., is best known for penning such hits as "It Never Rains in Southern California" and "To All the Girls I've Loved Before."

The as-yet-untitled album is expected for release before the end of the year on Mercury. "Rockferry" won a Grammy for best pop vocal album and has sold 848,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Rockferry" was an even bigger hit in the United Kingdom, where it debuted at No. 1 on the album chart and spawned a massive single, "Mercy," which spent five weeks at the top.

Personally, the tracks on her debut album Produced and co-written with ex-Suede guitarist/songwriter Bernard Butler were the stand outs.

Funnily enough on Radio 2 tonight at 10:00 PM there is a one hour show "The Producers" focussing this time on the work of Bernard Butler, in which they will play an exclusive track at the end of the show. I might be wrong but I don't think he has been working with Duffy on her second album. However I do know he has been working on Kate Nash's second album (which is where my money is on being the exclusive); Long Blondes' lead singer Kate Jackson's forthcoming solo debut; and has been in the studio with Victoria Hesketh (Little Boots) on what she described as 1970s prog rock power balladry.

Very exited for new Duffy material, Rockferry was one of the highlights of 2008. Mercy aside, Warwick Avenue, Hanging On Too Long, Distant Dreamer, the title track and maybe a few others were all stunning.
Oh, there was me thinking she'd be one of those artists very much of the time. I had no idea people were actually anticipating a follow-up!
