Good news with daniella coming back as she was quite good for most of her episodes the last time, also huge congrats to eastenders on wining the bafta this year for best continuing drama.

I really really love Daniella Westbrook as a person, thought she should have won DOI and voted for her plenty of times on it, but she isn't a fantastic actress anymore. I dunno what happened to her, or if maybe it was the scripts, but alot of her performance last time round were goddamn awful :( I hope she's better this time round, however.

EastEnders bosses have decided to recast young characters Ben Mitchell and Lucy Beale, Digital Spy can confirm.

No suprises here then, well with Lucy anyway. With Ben though I was sort of expecting them to leave him off-screen for a few years until he comes back a gay stud-muffin. Is Lucy not getting an exit storyline at all then, certainly what he article suggests.

 

Whats more interesing though is that no mention has been made of a Lauren re-cast.......

Indeed, looks like Lucy will just change. Surely there will be a bit of a gap - bit weird if she's suddenly different lol. I'm pleased though, character is too good to lose.

 

I also expected a few years for Ben tbh. Hopefully they don't go to OTT with the recasting. I want an Eastenders Danny Miller please.

ALL of these new characters are looking really promising!

 

Vanessa is ultra classy. Kim could be really great if they develop the less brash side of her character a bit and don't turn her into a 24/7 alcoholic. Jodie seems about 85% retarded but also highly likeable (not to mention gorgeous) and Grace is all sorts of OTT and wonderful.

I've missed a few eppys, and tuned in today to see pretty much a whole new cast.

 

I like Kim, she's a definite keeper. I love the book club scenes, MORE please.

Also whoever the old woman in the fruity African clothing is, let's keep her.
