Think his worse time was after Night Fever and There Must be an Angel(I think it was this night) - he cried backstage in the green room and felt such a fool that he made a joke about being in a therapy session

I would love to see 'sweetest feeling' again

thanks TT and jester for the clip

Loved it when the audience burst into applause in the middle of that song :yahoo:

Does that include Gay Porn?

I'll leave now

Thanks, Love the ANMHE performance- Gunna put it on my Youtube faves

It was a cracking performance wasn't it.

How Hayley didn't finish runner up to Will I don't know. Her vocal performances throughout the competition knocked spots of both Gareth & Darius.

Think he was generally fed up that night as well. I think perhaps he was having a few problems in his private life, and certainly he'd dealt with at least one bereavement during the Final 10. Wasn't this also the time when he was going to give it all up he was so down. Then he came back the following week all systems go. :cheer:

Wasn't it around the time his grandfather Bobby had died and he'd attended his funeral that week?

No, Wills grandfather had died the year before PI.

I think the pressure just got to Will that week it was a rollercoaster of emotions is how he describes it in his book and I'm not surprised really.

I think both Will & Darius, being older & wiser, had cottoned on to the fact that the show was being steered towards a win for someone other than them and when you're trying your hardest it must be soul destroying to have this happen. Probably a feeling that whatever they did, they weren't going to win so was it all worth it? Still it all worked out in the end, thanks to the voting public, but it could't have been easy for the contestants.

Ah yes, I remember now, thanks Marguerite, :D it's true about the show being geared up for one person, I think I must have watched the last few weeks of the show with a permanent sneer on my face, at the totally outrageous injustice I thought was going to be the outcome. :o

That's exactly how I felt. On the night of the final Will was just in another league but I still didn't believe he would win, though my hubby said he would. Maybe I would have had more faith if I'd been known he 'd topped the voting most weeks before. I remember jumping up & punching the air when the result was announced. The astonidhed look on Will's face showed he still didn't believe he would win. Thank goodness the public recognised true talent & still do today.

I still  whenever I hear Ant and Dec say those words

Me too

A part of me believed all the polls, and that Gareth had it in the bag

No Suggy as Marguerite says that was the previous year. It was Karen (I think that was her name) who had been his dad's secretary, but who he looked upon as a second mum.
