What are peoples thoughts on Brian's new song? Its produced by Kevin Rudolf.

I hate the album name especially "soundz" with a z :S

Short but interesting piece of info regarding the new Delta album from a Brian interview on auspOp blog;

 

Brian's album features another high profile collaboration, besides his hit single 'Just Say So' (on which he's enlisted the star power of Kevin Rudolf). His dear lady future wife Delta Goodrem appears on the track 'Mistakes', the most un-'Wall Of Soundz' track on the album. We asked him if it was difficult to convince her to add her vocals to his record.

 

"Well I was thinking, ‘I wonder who we could get – Vanessa Amorosi or…? Is Tina Cousins available or…'," he jokes. "I didn’t think she’d actually want to do it. Especially because of the style of this record – and especially now that her new record is going very back to her roots. She’s gone very back to the piano-based and big melodies thing and has steered away from that whole pop thing. But when she sang it, everyone agreed that while it doesn’t really fit with the rest of the songs, it’s a hit. It sounds like a hit."

Yeah, I loved the 'Delta' album and it used the piano in places but compared to the first two albums it was much weaker in my opinion. Well apart from featuring the best song of the noughties :wub: Still my favourite artist of all time by quite some margin and I hope that this forum doesn't get archived before she releases it!

 

Of my four favourite artists ever (I don't really have a fifth as these four have always been head and shoulders above the rest for me), Shakira's gone a bit downhill, The Corrs have split up, Christina's new single is average and doesn't bode well for the album so Delta's my only hope now :drama:

I'm so excited for Delta's new album now, if she's going back to the original piano based sound. Although I loved 'Delta', I love 'Innocent Eyes' more!

i would expect a release before xmas to cash in on xmas sales. but she was due to release at the start of this year. <_<

I know she said that but I really can't imagine it happening :( she's practically a nobody here now, and wouldn't be able to do a proper tour, probably just a one off gig in London or something, which I would pull out all the stops to go to :drama:

Her name is still around in the UK - mainly cropping up when there is a new Brian/Kerry feud. I think it would be quite easy to slot back in to be honest.

 

For example, I don't know how long Kelis has been away for, but she has a new single now thats got top 5 in the charts and I think all there has been is a video.

 

My point is, if the song is strong, then it will be enough to sell, I don't think she would have any problems getting a spot on GMTV/This Morning

Kelis has been away three years and is more of a 'name' than Delta in the UK I think. Plus it's David Guetta produced (who is hot right now) and has had full Radio 1 support. Delta might get Radio 2 support, I'm not even sure if Radio 1 ever supported her in the past...but you basically need their backing to get a hit these days.

 

I agree though that GMTV/This Morning/Loose Women etc... would snap her up again. We'll see I guess, or maybe not, seeing as we didn't get the Delta album here I won't be overly surprised if the new album doesn't make it over here either :(

Mistakes will be Brian's 3rd single in Aus. Confirmed by him on twitter. Plus it will be a new version too!!!
