R&B star Usher has revealed that his sixth studio album will be called Monster.

The singer has been recording the follow-up to 2008's Here I Stand in Las Vegas and Atlanta with Janet Jackson's partner Jermain Dupri.

Monster is expected to be released in the autumn on Jive Records, according to People.

Usher also confirmed on his Twitter blog that he has filmed a cameo alongside Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl in the upcoming Robert Luketic-helmed thriller Five Killers.

"Here on the set of Five Killers," he wrote. "I'm headed in now for my first scene with Ashton and Katherine."

Here I Stand was such a disappointment for me :( Heres hoping this one will be better.

I wish he'd give up now. 'Here I Stand' (Bar the first 2 singles & 'Will Work for Love') was DIRE!

He's not relevant now we have Ne-Yo! (Just like U2 aren't AS relevant as they used to be, now Coldplay are around)

The album title sounds lame, but I'm hoping for an improvement on "Here I Stand". I don't think the album was overly bad, it just wasn't as good as "Confessions". He was a little more mature sounding in his last album, though. He's still the king of the sex jam, too. "Trading Places" was brilliant on all kinds of levels.

And although "Here I Stand" sold far less than "Confessions", there's most definitely interest in Usher. In the UK? Maybe not so much, but he's still a top R&B player in the US.

his last album was good, but the singles elections was...how come This ain´´t sex or Something special weren´´t singles??? they are classic R&B! (well, maybe that´´s why weren´´t singles...)'
Downloaded this (having not listened to anything beforehand) hoping for something that wasn't what it actually is. :(

Well, "Raymond v. Raymond" is a more fitting title than the original penned "Monster". ;-)

The album is a strong effort. I think I prefer it to "Here I Stand", even if it's sound is a little inconsistent (with the ridiculous amount of producers he used to work on this record). The only song I can't listen to is "Okay". Oh, and I'm not homosexual or anything, but there's something about "Mars vs Venus" that is just orgasmic. That's a sex jam if there ever was one...

'More' is the only brilliant track for me, if he wants to save this campaign then he will release that.

What do you guys think of Usher's "Raymond Vs Raymond" record? I think it's really good, I bought a copy of Confessions off iTunes as well

Loving More and Lil Freak. Excellent album. :) Here I Stand was such a letdown but Usher has really come back with this album.
