I havent really heard Type O Negative, but what I have I think I have liked, might have to give them a proper listen soon.

Yeah it does actually seem like it's for real this time, besides they'd never pull it off twice.

Never particularly liked them too much. Always seemed a bit cliched and obvious but they were certainly quite funny, worth having around and he will be sadly missed too.

I always saw it as Type O taking the mick out of Goth music, and Goths in general, to be honest... I mean, look at "Black No 1", it's very sarcastic and catty.... :lol:

Oh undoubtedly that is true but they did it in quite an obvious way whereas someone like The Sisters Of Mercy did it with more skill and where many missed the point.

Okay, well what you have to bear in mind is that Type O are an American band, and they're audience was predominately American... I've often found that most Americans seem to need things to be sign-posted for them, they dont generally "do" subtle irony, hence the fact that Eldritch and Morrissey have barely even dented the US market... :lol:
