Very underrated song.

i was never a huge when you were young fan at all yntil i bought live at the albert hall,the live version really brought the song alive for me.

I hated 'When You Were Young' at the time but over the years I grew to really like it.

 

I went off it for a while when I used to stay over a friend's and he set his alarm clock for 5am and that song would play out of it every 10 minutes afterwards and we couldn't stop it. :(

What? :o 'When You Were Young' has always been a classic to me. :( It's quite epic. Especially the opening few seconds!

Yeah, When You Were Young is definitely one of their best.

Its definitly a song that matures very well with age.

I wonder is a greatest hits in the pipelone to fill th egap for the next album album i know brandon is doing an album but the greatest hits could also do very well for them.

No. Please no. Not yet anyway! I would like The Killers to release a greatest hits as a 2CD. So they have another few albums in them yet. But obviously if they (for some weird and devastating reason) are to split, I would be happy. But I wouldn't like a Greatest Hits now, as it's far too soon for them imo.

I highly doubt it, it would not be a good idea. Poor Brandon will be worn out :lol:

True and with Brendan releasing a solo album it fills the gap very well for the fans.

I'm glad Mr Brightside is taking the lead. It is such an anthemic, legendary song now.

 

A bit sad, though, due to Bones getting no votes at all. It is one of my favourite songs from them.

I like Bones too, it just gets overshadowed amongst other great songs on Sams Town
