Don't get me wrong I love Kylie. I also never said GaGa invented electro-pop, I was simply saying that she has been massive these last two years and so in all likehood anything Kylie releases will be compared to what GaGa has done. As for GaGa and Kylie not being in the same category..? They're both solo female pop artists who do pop/dance/electro music, so yeah they're in the same category.
I agree they are both in the same catagory musically but im sick of everyone kissing GaGas ass and elevating her to a level which she does not belong. If she is still as relevant in 10 years then fine but its far to early now

In some ways I can see where this GaGa argument fits in, when Kylie's last album was released this style of pop music wasn't as 'in' as it is now, and she didn't really have any big competition in the pure pop female stakes, of course with GaGa having exploded since there will be obvious competition. However they aren't that similar and I don't think it'll affect Kylie in any way, so there's room for her.
Relieved to hear it's not a third rate Goldfrapp (2 Hearts) but sounds like it's got all the hallmarks of a future Kylie anthem. Little point in passing opinion at this early stage, but there is clearly a lot of confidence behind this track which can only be a good thing.
Ya i agree, there definitly seems to be huge confidence behind the new single and it almost seems like us kylie fans just know this is gonna be a good era.

Filming Closure: 5/8 4am - 5/9 11pm -- Grand Avenue for 'Kylie'

Navigating Downtown can be tricky enough without running into an unexpected street closure. We'll try to help you out, posting notices from film shoots that include full street closures.

Grand Avenue will be closed from 2nd to 5th most of the weekend as HSI Productions shoots what appears to be a music video under the production name 'Kylie.'

The closure will start at 4am on Saturday, May 8, and run continuously until 11pm on Sunday, May 9. The one block of 3rd street atop Bunker Hill will also be closed over the same period.

HSI is big-time in the music video and commercial world, with a slate of directors that includes David LaChapelle, Brett Ratner and Hype Williams.

The shoot is listed with the production name 'Kylie.' Australian singer Kylie Minogue is getting set to debut a new album, but nothing in the notice says for sure who will be on-stage on Grand.

DESCRIPTION OF SCENE: Atmospheric smoke effects. Driving scenes. Driving shots. Equipment on sidewalk, in curb lane & across the street. Exterior dialogue. Exterior performance and playback.
