They should work with the Katy B and/or her producers.

She has always reminded me of early-era Sugababes (Broken Record especially) and seems to have found a nice balance between mainstream appeal and critical acclaim (much like they used to before everything went tits up).

You're clearly not alone to say this, I've seen a few similar comments about them going a Katy B route, and I see from what you're coming from. But I'm not sure it'd work for the Babes, as this dance / dubsteppy genre is on hype at the moment, and they would jump on the bandwagon yet again. I doubt anything would work for the 4.0 state though.
I agree. I thought 'Broken Record' sounded a lot like 'Run for Cover', so they could work quite well with that style.

It's been aaaaages since they were headlining something, and finally they will again. It's quite small but at least it's a charity gig which I approve.

Sugababes to headline Cazfest music festival

The festival is held in memory of Caroline Johnstone

The Sugababes will headline a music festival this summer, held annually in memory of a Hertfordshire teenager.

Cazfest will take place on Saturday 2 July 2011 at Sworder's Field in Bishops Stortford.

Now in its third year, the event is held in memory of 17-year-old Caroline Johnstone.

Caz, as she was known to her friends, was a student at Bishops Stortford High School and had planned to go to university to study English.

On 6 June 2008, while out with friends at a nightclub she collapsed and, despite the prompt attendance of the medical services, never regained consciousness.

After five days the decision was taken to turn off her life support.

ECG screening

Cazfest was established by the teenager's family to raise awareness and fund the heart screening of all sixth form students, initially in the Bishops Stortford area, but then across as much of Hertfordshire and Essex as possible.

"Since Caroline died, we've worked very closely with the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), and have paid for ECG (electrocardiogram) screening for around 350 young people," said Caroline's mother Lesley Johnstone.

Over 3,500 people attended Cazfest 2010, raising over £30,000 for the charity. Organisers hope to attract 5,000 visitors this year and are looking to raise in excess of £50,000.

"The Sugababes are one of the biggest girl bands and we are delighted they will be performing at the festival," said Mrs Johnstone.

This one would be even better if it wasn't for omitting the hairband thingy (I just loved that). Jade can be so beautiful with the right outfit.

Amelle looking fresh and colourful. Love the look!

Err you can it like that too! But you'll take it: she/them are all original at least!

Oh, and Backdown, love the Amelle photo here, she seems like a pretty lovely duck!

Some guy from popjustice said that there would be some big news this week... Prepare for it but take it with a pinch of salt.

Finally.. a single by June/July would be nice. This can really make or break them, I hope it doesn't disappoint (me).
Am i the only one hoping the big news will be the Sugababes management being Hung in Hyde Park for crimes against music, common decency and humanity in general for inflicting 4.0 upon us?
Ooo! :o Is that poster usually reliable?

I dunno. But surely he's not just a troll who would wind up the public for no reason. So at least he could know something...
