Different to the usual Sugababes sound - bad!

I wouldn't say the Sugababes have ever had a "Sound" so to speak.

Every album has had a change of style, they're always trying to cover new ground, which seems to be what they're doing again for album #8.

I do think the Sugababes had a ''sound''. They did dip their songs into different genres and experimented, but you could just hear it when it was a Sugababe song. They delivered it with a little edge.

Yes, this. You can always tell a Sugababes song. Sweet 7 didn't have that feeling, apart from About A Girl

Oh, I thoroughly agree, all Sugababes singles were identifyable as Sugababes singles!

But what I meant was the genre's of music they covered from album to album; there was never a consistent sound.

I guess it just depends on how you interprete the word ''sound'' :lol:

I'm not going to disagree that they do sound different, but what I meant is that their first 6 albums are identifiable as Sugababes albums from the off and I hope that album #8 retains this sound.

I'm officialy excited, lol. Just because of a song title.

The potential contained in the song title alone is enough to put it in 9/10 territory.

Two weeks! :o I'm SO excited, but as others have said, the 'new sound' bit is a bit worrying...

"orchestral dance / pop on acid" is already putting me on a very high volume of excitement! It the words purely represent what's going on the album then call me a Sugaloon again!

So far this era sounds really promising, but I'll judge after I hear the first single. And I agree with Silas about the song title, sounds really great. I hope the song lyrics will be somewhat about obsessive love, I always like me a little obsession.

They always come back with a different look, so that's no real news.

 

If they've only written 2 track on the album i'll murder someone, that had better be two solo writing credits for Amelle. Beware shows us what she's capable of and it's INCREDIBLE.

 

If Love Makes Me Crazy is as good in reality as it is in my head then it had better be single #2.

 

 

 

I can feel my body beginning preparations to loon for this band again.

I agree I want more writing credits as well, BUT it's more already than Dire 7. And if Heidi and Jade contributed to other songs then it's not that bad.

 

I agree about Beware, the lyrics are really good so that gives me hope for the songs.
