February 25, 201312 yr Walk This Way?! (although I did listen to it the other day and sort of enjoyed it )
February 25, 201312 yr Walk This Way and Follow Me Home? Better than the legendary Freak, HITH and RR? :manson:
February 25, 201312 yr Freak Like Me is STUNNING. Hole In The Head is slightly overrated though. :P Edited February 25, 201312 yr by Good Grief
February 25, 201312 yr I love 'Follow Me Home'. :( I prefered it as an album track though, it was one of those that got ruined by being a single. Mind you, at the time I was just glad they didn't release 'Gotta Be You'. :manson:
February 25, 201312 yr It was great until 3.0 got it's hands on it. Amelle singing the verse Mutya wrote about her daughter has never sat right with me.
February 25, 201312 yr It was great until 3.0 got it's hands on it. Amelle singing the verse Mutya wrote about her daughter has never sat right with me. I don't have any of the Amelle versions on my iPod, I got too used to the originals and they're definitive for me. I still regularly listen to the Mutya versions of 'Red Dress', 'Follow Me Home' and 'Ace Reject'.
February 25, 201312 yr That tramp never rerecorded Ace Reject. Gotta Be You on the other hand... :P I quite like the 3.0 Red Dress although nothing can ever touch Mutya's clear air of 'this song is shit and I hate it' from the 2.0 original.
February 26, 201312 yr 'Follow Me Home' is much better with Amelle imo, her voice is less shakey than Mutya and on FMH that really fits. They should've released 'Gotta Be You'! Absolutely love that one and I have no idea how it would have done. It could have been a hit but it could have flopped massively (not worse than FMH though).
April 10, 201312 yr No room for 'Ugly' haters here. I second this, it is such a beautiful and meaningful song Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion but I do really love Ugly :)
April 11, 201312 yr I really don't like 'Ugly', I think more than the cheesy lyrics it's the way it sounds so tacky musically. It sounds like it was modelled on Band Aid 20.

I guess I can relate to it cos I was picked on as a kid and called weird/a freak/ugly/creepy so I can relate to the song :) It makes me feel better about it all
April 14, 201312 yr I love 'Follow Me Home'. :( I prefered it as an album track though, it was one of those that got ruined by being a single. Mind you, at the time I was just glad they didn't release 'Gotta Be You'. :manson: Same here completely! I remember Gotta Be You being rumored which is almost as bad as when Nasty Ghetto was rumored for release instead of Caught In A Moment :puke2:
April 14, 201312 yr Revisiting this thread... Still New Year. I'd also most likely skip 'Shape' now and 'Change'. I didn't really get why they even released 'Change'! But then they released the most brilliant 3.0 track i.e. Denial and that underperformed in the UK. :( At least its European success has made up for it. As for Freedom - I think it's a very good track and while it's not a lead single material it would've been a pretty solid 3rd/4th single off an already released album. And the reaction to it would've been much warmer and politer had it done well with the public / been recorded by the earlier version of the Sugababes.
April 14, 201312 yr Girls. 'Catfights & Spotlights' is such a strong album and Girls isn't representative of it at all. And I prefer the Klas Åhlund remix of Girls, it seems more 'Sugababes' if that makes sense. Walk This Way is another scar on both theirs and Girls Aloud's discographies.
April 14, 201312 yr I'm with you on Girls, the Klas Åhlund remix is miles better. I really wish they'd released that instead! It was less karaoke cover with new verses and more of a proper rework.

April 15, 201312 yr My personal least favourite... well least listened to is Caught In A Moment. I wish Ace Reject was released as a single! And it was a disaster that Crash & Burn wasn't either. Edited April 15, 201312 yr by Juliano
April 18, 201312 yr 'Girls', 'No Can Do' and 'Red Dress' are definitely their worst three. I love 'Shape', I hate that it gets so much hate :(
