Posted April 26, 201015 yr This was on TV last week, anyone reckon any different? G Andy Goram RB Sandy Jardine LB Danny McGrain CB Alex McLeish CB Willie Miller RM Jimmy Johnstone LM Davie Cooper CM Billy Bremner CM Graeme Souness ST Kenny Dalglish ST Denis Law Since Goram wasn't a great servant to Scotland (no doubting his contribution to Rangers though) I would kick him out in favour of Jim Leighton and I'd possibly take out Souness for Jim Baxter. I do reckon that with this team we'd have a chance of finally getting past the first round of a major tournament.

May 2, 201015 yr No Dave MacKay in that list takes away any credibility that it might have had tbh It was compiled by STV, it had no credibility to begin with. And Scotland have made it to the second round of the World Cup before! Just the once likes, but it still counts :heehee:
May 2, 201015 yr Well (as I need cheering up) here is my favourite all-time Scottish XI: Manager: Bill Shankly ----------------------- Tommy Lawrence Steve Nicol --- Alan Hansen --- Ron Yeats --- Bill Dunlop Willie Stevenson - Graeme Souness - Peter Cormack - Billy Liddell ------------------- Kenny Dalglish © ----------------------------- Ian St John :D
May 2, 201015 yr Author And Scotland have made it to the second round of the World Cup before! Just the once likes, but it still counts :heehee: When was that then?
May 3, 201015 yr When was that then? I haven't got a f***ing clue tbh. I read it in some book i had for the France World Cup in 98. I support Germany at these things, it's far less hassle than supporting England
May 5, 201015 yr Author Pretty sure they haven't you know. They had a brilliant record of qualification for the finals (1974 - 1990 without a gap) but always turned up to be ridiculed before snatching defeat in spectacular fashion (e.g. not being able to win a game in 1974 and going home undefeated, beating Holland when it didn't matter, losing to Brazil in pretty much the last minute, getting thrashed by Tunisia).
