The as yet untitled fourth album (the first since 2007's 'Our Love to Admire') will be released some time this year.

'Lights' is being offered as a free download from their website at the moment.

 

Apparently they are going for a more 'orchestral' sound for this record. Intriguing.

Maybe it's a grower but I'm definitely not really feeling it on first listen, shame as I usually love them.

Could be a grower. I often done like Interpol songs to start off with but they improve. Not as instant as previous singles.

I quite like it, not amazing but as a buzz song it is good.

Decent tune, but on this evidence they're gonna have to come up with something really BIG to compete with the likes of BRMC, A Place To Bury Strangers and Twilight Sad, all of whom came up with far better records than "Our Love To Admire" recently....

 

And I totally disagree with Severin, this does NOT even come close to matching Editors last effort...

I was very surprised how good the last Editors album was.

I kind of have to agree with this.. It sounds a bit over-produced to me as well to be honest... There's "Lights" and a few others that are alright, but it's really a case almost of someone doing an impression of Interpol...

 

It totally lacks the rawness and urgency of the first two records, and it's not even up to par on the third one.. Have Interpol just run out of ideas...? Black Rebel Motorcycle Club went on a similar slump and then pulled it back with their new record, so it's not too late for Interpol...
