No doubt he was as impressed by her multitude of skills (Keys took a large role in the writing, arranging, and production of her debut album) as by her music, which mates contemporary hip-hop accoutrements to an old-school soul sensibility a la Jill Scott or D'Angelo. Only 20 years old at the time of the album's release, Keys already seemed poised for a major career built upon her soulful voice and classically trained piano chops. While hip-hop played a much bigger role on her second effort, 2003's THE DIARY OF ALICIA KEYS, it was a smash nonetheless, and subsequent recordings have further pushed the boundaries of R&B - HMV Video here (live): Chart history (Year peak title): 2001 03 Fallin' 2002 37 Brotha Part II (Angie Stone Featuring Alicia Keys And Eve) 2002 18 A Woman's Worth 2002 26 How Come You Don't Call Me 2002 06 Gangsta Lovin' (Eve Featuring Alicia Keys) 2002 24 Girlfriend 2003 19 You Don't Know My Name 2004 18 If I Ain't Got You 2006 62 Ghetto Story (Cham Featuring Alicia Keys) 2007 06 No One 2008 53 Like You'll Never See Me Again 2008 09 Another Way To Die (Alicia Keys And Jack White) 2009 02 Empire State Of Mind (Jay-Z feat. May 2, 201015 yr Crazy and not Beautiful? I think Beautiful must be 3rd, but I'm fairly sure Beautiful is the most popular for top 75 hits
May 2, 201015 yr oh WTF?! why play two songs in a row by the same artist! <_< Because she's worth it (flicks hair) :cheer:
May 2, 201015 yr I just overplayed it way too much when it first leaked haha. I think 'Unthinkable (I'm Ready)' is probably going to be my favourite single from her this era. I think she may well skip to 'Put It In A Love Song' for the UK next because I've read she wanted a summer release for that. There is still the possibility for a 5th single though. I quite like it but it's not very commercial.

May 2, 201015 yr I've never heard Try Sleeping... before, I should probably give it a go considering how much people are loving it.

May 2, 201015 yr Because she's worth it (flicks hair) :cheer: I dont think anyone is worth it- especially with a song as overplayed as that, its also unfair he plays two songs by the same artist and miss a song by an artist with just one song in the top 40 EDIT: right, I see what you did there, nice! Edited May 2, 201015 yr by chart wizard
May 2, 201015 yr Reggie is seriously retarded. 'Need To Know' Anyway, this is dire. Edited May 2, 201015 yr by Kay.
