N Dubz are pretty rubbish as a band and all of their songs seem to be similar and formed from exactly the same mould. It may have been appealing in the beginning but this latest song is just tiring. Rihanna should also leave the Top 20 now, it's about time!
I'm a bit depressed that she said the lyrics don't really matter. What has music come to? The lyrics should be the main focus!

This pretty much :(

Nowadays, we get $h!te lyrics that sound like they've been nicked from someone else

I don't think people actually send death threats :| Just annoyed that Reggie is presenting the OFFICIAL chart show and yet makes so many mistakes.. How hard is it to read song titles or say the correct chart positions :S

yes people do send death threats, theres a ginger haired kid in todays mail on sunday that had them

Erm since when? It depends. For me in some songs, its the melody that matters the most, the other the lyrics, the other the beats. If lyrics were the most important aspect I doubt we would've had so many great instrumentals. Rude Boy is a party anthem, lyrics take the backseat in these.

3rd hit so far for Jason and to me this is the 2nd best of the three tunes he has released after "In My Head"

I heard on Radio 1 earlier he has to sing this song in lower key as his voice is breaking now and he can't sing the high notes. And people were fainting in excitement in Australia, and someone stole his hat and knocked his mum over at the airport!! His fans sound like savages!
Probably the silliest song in the chart. Go away, Bieber!

Ugh, girlboy :puke:

Can this song please evacuate the chart soon, I'm getting tired of having to mute my radio during the chart show

Totally agree. Lyrics make the song. Music in most chart songs is normally repetitive a la Oasis' Wonderwall.

Awww Justin Bieber. His songs aren't even that bad, I don't like that he gets a lot of stick! If you had the chance to get signed to a record label you would do it, even if the songs are too grown up for him! If he was put out there in a few years when he develops CHEEKBONES and his voice breaks he would be fine!

True, but where would Rude Boy be without the 'Come 'ere Rude Boy boy can you get it up' and other similar type hooks. (Well it'd probably still get top 5 anyway because it's Rihanna )

on the lyrics issue, this song is an example of meaningless, terrible lyrics!

For you, I would have done whatever

And I just can't believe, we ain't together

And I wanna play it cool, But I'm losin' you

I'll buy you anything, I'll buy you any ring

And im in pieces, Baby fix me

And just shake me til' you wake me from this bad dream

:manson: :manson:

I heard on Radio 1 earlier he has to sing this song in lower key as his voice is breaking now and he can't sing the high notes.

He's 16 though.

I'm the same age as him and my voice broke at least two/three years ago.

American boys do tend to have higher voices though.

Hot still sounding amazing.

The lyrics in this make no sense either

The Eurodisco trash in a pure form... How could this Inna track make it so big in Britain is beyond me.
True, but where would Rude Boy be without the 'Come 'ere Rude Boy boy can you get it up' and other similar type hooks. (Well it'd probably still get top 5 anyway because it's Rihanna )

But that's what I mean, lyrics in this song take the backseat because it's not as important as the beats and melody. So they arranged simple lyrics for anyone to sing along to, I mean look at Macarena and stuff like that. Or even the current Inna song, I can't even tell what she's singing about.

As for instrumentals, a lot of dance fans are against vocalising those dance tracks to get a hit, and I can see their point of view. "Sandstorm" by Darude would not do better with lyrics.
