so it looks like edward maya has suffered due to the release being held back by the record company - it was clearly in demand 2 weeks ago due to the other version rising so high - why cant record companies just release somngs and let them rise up the chart??no wonder people resort to illegal dloads!!!it will be the same story for B.O.B and dizzee rascal - dirtee discos video started being played on the first may and yet it isnt out until 23/5?!?!itll rise quickly to no1 and fall like a stone!!
Christina is performing better than anyone was expecting!
Not for me. She's performing pretty badly. It's her fault though, for releasing it so early here in the UK. Her label need to realise the UK charts work completely differently to those in the US.

So early? its been out there since late March. I think they left it too late.

Really? It's definitely early for us. They should have let it garner support from radio and TV, and then given it a dual release with her official release date as Christina has a strong physical buying fanbase doesn't she?

I think she left the video too late myself but I'm not really a fan of this song. Having said that I don't want her to flop. I have heard the six album sample and its a great body of work. Every song is a different style to the next and her voice is used in ways we have never heard her sing like before. Some of the tracks its hard to believe its really her. So I think NMT was the wrong choice as single. But usually with promo Christina always performs well with comeback singles. Ain't No Other Man would have been number 1 had it not been for a fault with itunes back in 2006. So she lost sales. I don't see Not Myself Tonight being a number 1 but if she gets a top 10 its a good result given her exposer over here has been zero.

Yeah that is true, they should actually release it on the official release date instead of letting it climb up slowly when the video's not been out long and it's not had enough time to garner support. They made roughly the same mistake with 'Ain't No Other Man' too.

Mini Viva are doing slightly better than I thought, I thought nowhere had played it at all. If it can get top 75 at least that'd be good. Also, gooooo Kaci, please do well. :(

Too late??? Are you kidding ???

When they tried releasing it at the same time as the US, it bombed forcing them to delete, and re-release it now

Do they actually expect the song to sell based solely on internet hype, her name and a seldom video play a few days after it's been shown?

Of course not, especially as her foothold in the industry is nowhere near as strong as it once was. They're being silly about this.

The track has been under-performing in the US too.
