After hearing E.T. for the first time when it leaked, I didn't like it so kept avoiding it until now... I'M ADDICTED!! I missed out big time :lol: Probably my favourite song from her, I'm so excited from this album - based on the 3 tracks leaked I'm sure this will be the perfect pop album :heart:

I was wondering 'Not Like The Movies' might be a cover of a Filipino artist KC Concepcion, I've lived in the Philippines for 10 years so I'm familiar with KC :P

 

Anyways, here it is for anyone who wants to listen :P It sounds a bit like 'The Climb' :lol:

 

If she does cover it, I reckon Katy's version would be much better :wub:

yay there hasn't been a countdown to an album like this for a while.

Btw, the album cover doesn't have text on it. Katy said herself that the album cover is actually a painting and it's such a fine piece of art that there will be no text present.

The cover with text on is for the digital copy only. The physical copy will feature translucent stickers with her name and the album title on in one corner of the artwork.

It's not, it's a heart welching ballad about Russell apparantly.

Trust me, I'm more than jealous. I mean, I've never been jealous of Russell Brand ever before, but then I suddenly wanted to be him.

Hopefully the UK get the iTunes countdown as well. I don't think there's been a countdown since the countdown for 'The E.N.D'. :D

Katy Perry unveils ”Teenage Dream” cover art

 

Apparently Katy Perry’s topless photo shoot for Esquire was just a warm-up. The pop singer has unveiled the album cover for her new record, Teenage Dream, and she’s, well, not wearing a lot of clothes. Or rather, any. The pop singer lounges on a cloud of cotton candy—like in her video for “California Gurls”—and pink fluff covers about nine percent of her.

 

Perry revealed the cover, which is actually a painting, yesterday during a Ustream chat with her fans. Perry was joined by cover artist Will Cotton, as the two sat together in Cotton’s studio. Supposedly this chat was the first time Perry had actually seen the album art (yeah right). Her response? “Oh my God, what will my mother think? It’s so gorgeous. I’m so excited. I’m nervous. I’m shaking a bit. This will be my first piece of real art.”

 

Perry picked Cotton after seeing several of his paintings because she “likes all things cute.” Cotton’s painting for this record reportedly took six-and-a-half weeks to create and will be the only thing that appears on the front of the album. “I have decided for this to be just the album cover— no print, no nothing, no ‘Katy Perry,’ ” the singer said. “Hopefully they know it’s me by the actual picture.”

 

We’re gonna go with, yes, fans probably will. In addition, the album booklet doesn’t just look like cotton candy, it smells like it too. Seriously. Perry said, “When you purchase the CD physically, you just get a Katy Perry by Will Cotton. We went through every detail — it even smells like cotton candy! It actually stinks.”

 

Perry and Cotton apparently may also be collaborating on her upcoming tour in support of Teenage Dream, likely in the spring. Perry confirmed she will be playing a lot of shows this fall and winter too and that her new music video, for her second single, “Teenage Dream,” will likely be out the first week of August. “It’s going to be beautiful and will be so different than the Candyfornia video,” she said. “Which is fantastic, but I love going from one extreme to the other.”

 

Does that mean she will be clothed in it?
