Well according the front page of the Buzzjack forums

Glee Cast/Eclipse, at the most they be top 15 in the official chart today, probably just missing out on a top 10 hit, Edward Maya will probably be ahead of them in the mids, he has been out longer than the Glee track.

I don't think they've gotten so high on iTunes since the mashup week :o

yep, that's right as far as I can tell - Halo/WOS peaked at #4 on iTunes and at the same time, IML/Confessions hit a peak of #6.

 

The highest since then was GYH which peaked @ #9.

Do you think Christina will be top 10 by the days end then? I really think she has done great without promo, radio backing and a delayed video I have yet to see played. This would have been an easy number 1 with a UK performance.

 

I'd say top 10 within next couple of days. Could eventually peak inside top 5. Depends on publicity. think it'll sell big over weekend (club effect ?)

So what, all of her singles since the Stripped era have underperformed in the US, I really don't think that's their main concern any more. The release strategies for the lead singles in the UK since then (Ain't No Other Man, Keeps Gettin' Better (although that was for a GH so didn't really matter), and this) have been apalling. Seriously, it's almost as if they're expecting it to sell here based on name, a bit of internet hype and a few days of average video rotation - which is silly as we all know her foothold in the industry is now not as strong as it once was.

Compared to Sophie, it's BAFFLING how she's charting so high at all as she's done no promo and the song & video's exposure is right on par with "Bittersweet"'s.

Cant really compare christina and sophie, christina aguilera is so much more successful & famous over sophie who hasnt really got a strong fanbase.

However i get where you came up with the comparison from, but i dont think the two artists can be compared.

Yeah well, Sophie's career is actually in tatters these days and it's her own fault really, she's not done much to try and drag herself out of the mud since the whole Shoot From The Hip era began, the amount of awful career moves this woman has made since then and the amount of chances she's blown meant that the killer song in 'Bittersweet' has come too late. Shame 'Heartbreak' doing quite well couldn't act as a 'get out of jail free' card though. :(

Aguilera is #10 on iTunes now! Hopefully NTM will be a TOP5 hit. It is climbing nicely.

 

Shame Aguilera will only promote in the UK around NEXT WEEK. she should do a tv performance NOW

Who was saying that there would not be a Glee takeover in the charts? Christina hoepfully will go Top 10, I hope Stereo Love stalls, I just do not get what the fuss is about.
