I think it was utter madness.

1. They actually deleted the whole album and uploaded a new one with the all night long single remix with pitbull and still has the normal all night long on too so both can still be bought.

2. So not only will all night long figures be negatively effected so will the album sales as it was at about #41 and now not in top 200.

3. "The top 10 effect" meant that she was getting more sales then not being in top 10, now not benefiting from it.

The question i put forward is, are they mad?

 

It seems odd that record companies are still oblivious to the power of iTunes, in particular the top ten/front page effect. They still seem to blindly assume that people will buy what they're force fed, basically pushing the single mix onto people (even though the album version is still available - a lot of people won't check further than the top 200).

 

And for the people who only check the top ten, that's a lot of lost sales potentially - good for whoever was bumped up from #11 though :lol:

It was Kelis again - 2nd time she's fallen out then reclimbed :lol: I wonder if she can scrape a 6th week T10 officially, I doubt it but you never know. Her album is out this week as well of course.

bear in mind Alex was #4 when combined since mid yesterday if the single mix can get Top 10 before tonight I think she could get higher than #8 by Sunday.

It really needs to be climbing at a quicker pace to be able to get top 10 on sunday again. I think #5 is the max now, but fans you may have to settle for #10-#7.

Ugh well Syco never cease to amaze me. Dumb s.h.i.t.s. -_- After how they've handled Leona's releases, I couldn't really expect anything more. <_<

 

Alex was #4 combined on iTunes yesterday. That is a HUGE achievement for a third/fourth single. Syco are just Ugh.

Its hardly a "huge" achievement, Derulo's 3rd single has made #2, and cheryl cole made #4 with parachute..its not like out of this world. She probably would have made #5 officially as she was only #4 combined for a short while as OMG came ahead again.
