I have been inspired by the Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll topic.

 

As the title says, what album track should have been released?

were there any singles that you thought should remain album tracks?

indie rock n roll of course should have been a single for me so its the onvious one, for reasons unknown is probably the only main single i dont think they should have released and apart from that some of the christmas single were a bit pointless in my opinion as they never really got the backing or promotion some of them deserved.

I would have liked Daddy's Eyes to be released, such a great track

daddys eyes is a song that has grown on me over time and likewise sams town.

There are so many songs that could be singles, i may get blisters on my fingers if i write all of them :( :lol:

On Top (as a 5th single)

Joy Ride & Neon Tiger (instead of ADF and TWWLI)

A White Demon Love Song (should have had a video at least)

ADF should remain a single, outstanding song, Joy ride instead of TWWLI i agree with though

Nooo 'Joy Ride' is one of very few, and I mean very few, Killers songs I really can't stand and don't really get the hype for :(

 

I personally think 'Losing Touch' should have replaced 'The World We Live In'. 'A Dustland Fairytale' should deifnitely stay as a single imo :wub:

 

Also, 'Uncle Johnny' should have replaced 'For Reasons Unknown' too.

 

The 'Hot Fuss' era was perfect for singles choices. I wouldn't have changed anything. Although I may have given 'Andy You're A Star' a release...

i definitely agree with losing touch! one of my all time favourites of theirs..

It is so hard when I love all of their songs AND singles.

 

I think all their singles choices are good, and I can't believe the hatred for The World We Live In in here, it is one of my favourite songs ever by them :o

 

I agree with a 5th single from Hot Fuss, and that single being On Top, though. That song is epic and Hot Fuss deserved a 5th single for the huge album it was.

 

Sam's Town could've been released too, a very strong song, imo and also the title track.

 

Shadowplay definitely should've been a 2nd single from Sawdust.

 

And Neon Tiger sounds so special to me, it should've been released, imo.

I don't hate 'The World We Live In', I just didn't think it was a good or wise single choice :(

It has grown on me alot since the live CD but it was a wrong single. Joy Ride :kink: or This Is Your Life woulda been better.

Listening to Midnight Show makes me want to have had that released just for the video :(
