What's up with this Christina boycott?

I think the song is not really outstanding, maybe they thought that why should they add it into the playlist when this song is clearly in the playlist like for several years, but just under different names and by different artists. I mean, really, the song is good but it's one of the most generic things I have heard this year.

What's up with this Christina boycott?

If she stays in the TOP10 then WELL we can call it a hit, radios have COMPLETELY ignored her!

She's been around a while. Radio 1 is like a conveyor belt suppoting new artists.

Or perhaps because Radio 1 have sense and see the song is awful?

Radio 1 never really base playlisting on the song itself, it's nearly always about the artist's profile. Hence why some artists could get playlisted with literally anything, for some reason they have something against Christina now...

Although that does make the Alexandra snubbling strange, but she's doing fantastically without them and is lucky enough to have the support from everywhere else.

Radio 1 can't win. If they don't playlist songs that are a success then they're criticised for not playing the stuff that's popular. If they playlist everything that's a success then they get criticised (probably from the same people) because nothing's a hit unless it gets Radio 1 support!!

I agree with this.

There's nothing wrong with the playlist at all.

Sure, it's annoying when your favourite song is snubbed, but then you're ignoring that R1 are doing a lot to support new music even if it doesn't get anywhere in the charts. There's a big diversity in there too if you look past the fact it's mostly indie and UK urban.

I highly doubt it, and i hope not.

I think Miley Cyrus has a battle on her hands to try and change her image, and i can't see radio 1 being the first ones to give her a break. She'd probably have to have about 3 number ones before they playlisted her.

They playlisted all of her songs except 'Party In The USA' and 'When I Look At You' I think, so it wouldn't be THAT huge of a shock. :P
