Goodbye to his solo career <_<

Bang go all their careers!

Doubtless any tour next year will be a 'get rich even quicker' affair and then they'll all go their separate ways.

My husband has been proven right ... he said 'put enough money on the table and they'll all be best buds'. He said this at the very beginning of the 'revival'. He was right! He usually is. A slap in the face to all Take That and Robbie fans - the money means more to all five of them.

Edit - I do have to laugh that I've read some people (not here) going on as though Barlow and Williams getting together writing - is something akin to Lennon & McCartney. I'm sure their songwriting will be more Lemmon & Matthau than Lennon & McCartney.

Could be right, but I'm not so sure it's all about the money for Robbie.

He could make millions on his own just by announcing a few stadium or more Knebworth dates.

btw, your sig Norma, Level 42  I saw them live many years ago in a tiny little hall

I'm sure Rob's share of the pot will be bigger than the others though. Maybe there was a little truth in what Rob said also about the 'stage fright' thing and he feels a bit more comfortable 'sharing the risk' with the others. Then he can get back to his solo thing afterwards.

Either way - I had no intention of going to see Take That on their next tour (if it was stadium) whether Rob was with them or not so it doesn't really make much difference to me.

Yes Level 42 - I absolutely adore them. I've seen them loads of times in the late 80's early 90's (the last time at the Royal Court in Liverpool). I've been catching up with them on youtube and cannot wait to see them again. Mark King is a bit up himself but he is funny and a freaking brilliant bass player. His brother has a pretty good voice too.

Honestly I think it is going to be great tour! Still musically Rob does NOT belong with TT anymore (if he ever did) and I wonder what ''Robbie will join them on stage'' could mean. I feel (and hope) it is just a (one-off) collaboration following the Gary-Robbie duet and some gigs to milk all possible from the fab5's 'amazing' current status, not a full reunion. Robbie back for good in TT? I wonder who the hell wants to see that... (just imagine the choir version of Come Undone! :puke2: )

With shame scheduled the speculation and talk about reunion is going to take over the media! So much buzzzzzz (as if South Africa was not enough)

Keep your windows shut, the storm is coming <_<

Em !!! It's the duet bit that's getting to me !!!! who will be singing the chorus ....or will they share it <_<

a reunion does only work if robs gets plenty of lead vocal on a potential new TT album... otherwise, what songs shud he sing on stage, besides the 3 songs he already sang while he was with them...? background is not the right place to put europes biggest and most influental music artist of the past 10 years.

I think the others (even Gary) will be happy to take a back-seat and let it be the Robbie & TT show. I really get the feeling that Gary knows that this will be the last tour that they do want it to end the way it began.

i hate that about TT, to GO when the career is on TOP... no one comes close to their success-level in the UK...

Jesus Christ! Brokeback mountain?

"But first Robbie and Gary will warm up with the video likening their love-hate relationship to the tormented gay cowboys in the 2005 flick."

:nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:

How worse can it really get? I just hope there is no sex in the video :kink:

From an amusement point of view ... I'm actually 100% looking forward to all of this ... I find it hilarious! Surely both are doing this with tongue firmly in cheek ... I just cannot see how this whole thing is to be taken seriously.

Maybe Peter Kay features somewhere in the vid?

In way im looking forward to this to see what the material is like, if the material is good the album could be potenially a huge huge seller, if you combine the fanbase and put take thats first week sales together with robbies you could see a huge first week opening sales, either way the tour will be massive as they both can do sell out shows no problem at all.

I believe this reunion will be massive.

Take That sold 2.7 million copies of Beautiful World in the UK alone (Worldwide 3.5 million). The Circus sold 2.2 million in the UK (Worldwide 2.7 million).

Add the Robbie fans in UK and worldwide and we are probably looking at sales for the Take That album at about 3-4 million. It will be huge especially in the UK.

The tour will be massive as well. Take That already had the fastest selling tour in UK history last year. Now with Robbie on board they would be able to sell out stadiums across Europe as well.

If the tour does go outside the UK and Ireland ... then it MUST have Robbie as the lead guy. No-one outside of the UK and Ireland really have any time for Take That (well a smallish following in places like Denmark and Holland) but it'll be Robbie they go to see.

I still think its a stupid idea ... both acts just make themselves look, quite frankly, ridiculous.

When there is enough cash laid on the table the word ridiculous does not enter the equation <_<

With Robbie on board it will see mega worldwide -_-

So hubby was right all along ... it is all about money. Silly to doubt it really ... I suppose everything in life is about money.

Oh laugh Jupiter! That's all there is to do about it. I think they're hoping for double-whammy when I think it'll blow up in their faces. I'm quite glad that Mark, Jason and Howard are out of the firing line ... for now.
