They've got to be really careful though and make sure they do it well and not in an insulting way. Given that a lot of their early success ... and hence the success that they have built on since was helped in no small way by the gay community ... it would be an unthankful slap in the face if they take too many liberties. That's what I think anyway.

Oh to be honest ... I'm just curious now to know what the song sounds like ... I wish they'd release it next month and get it over with.

Yeah, that crossed my mind too. But I guess if it's really funny they'll maybe get away with it.

There will be cows then? Or was it sheep? I can't remember.

Both certainly do appear to be going out of their way to become as laughable and pathetic as possible don't they? Oh well all the fans of both will lap it up I am sure and proclaim the song to be better than anything Lennon/Macca ever wrote and the video to have surpassed even 'Thriller' in terms of originality and creativity. They will probably even start a petition for it to be nominated for an Oscar for 'Best Picture' next year - and of course 'The Sun' will support such an effort

As for the tour - you are definatly right Norma - they will be laughed out of anywhere outside the UK/Ireland -five near middle aged men jumping around smiling at each other - nah- most countries apart from ours have moved past all of that nonsence at this stage - it's highly dated, will most definatly be cringworthy and would result in Robbie's reputation as one of the top live draws in the world along with Madge, U2 and The Stones being ruined abroad  So I hope it is just confinded to the UK (if he comes to Ireland with TT before doing the free SOLO gig he has promised four years ago he will not like the reaction he gets  )

You all know how sceptical I've been of this whole business ... but you're right ... Gary and Rob seem to be going out of their way to look ridiculous ... I don't think they realise that everyone has now grown rather tired of this 'best buddies' business. If you look on DS (the forums) absolutely no-one is talking about this ... so they've even lost the interest of the gossipers! Once upon a time - there'd be at least a dozen threads on this ... but people are more interested in Kerry Katona and Katie Price than they are in Rob & Gary. The only party that appears interested, and thinks it is a great idea, is The Sun. Even Rob is starting to lose the faith of some of his followers with all this pure drippiness!

I must say ... I have utter admiration for Jason, Howard and Mark for staying out of this for now. I'd really love it if the three of them just turned their backs and let these love-birds just get on with it alone!

Who knows, Norma, maybe they (Gary and Rob) have started making plans to shack up tohether, so they can continue their love-fest.....

They're just making a laughing stock of themselves Biggie! I really used to like Gary Barlow (his book was really entertaining and funny) but I now think he and Rob are cut from the same cloth. They deserve each other ... but I think Mark, Jason and Howard deserve better.

I reckon, it's very likely they will call it a day after the Tour 2011.

The coming album and tour will be massive and they've always pledged to leave at the top of their game.....that would be the right moment.

They've achieved everything they had ever wanted. They had a fantastic career in the 90's and a triumphant return 10 years later. They will have their biggest selling album and tour this year respectively next year. With Robbie on board they'll be able to sell out stadiums accross Europe. I believe they want to quit with a big bang and the Robbie participation will be it.

In the german TT forum there are rumours that Jason has already confirmed in private that the coming album and tour with Robbie will mark the ultimate end of TT.

Breaking News just in, Robbie Williams has officially rejoined Take That

Robbie Relights The Fire With Take That

Source: Sky News Online

Singer Robbie Williams is rejoining Take That, the band has confirmed.

Williams has already recorded an album with his former band-mates, which is being released in November.

Sky News understands he will also tour with Take That members Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen.

A statement from the band says: "The rumours are true... Take That: the original line-up, have written and recorded a new album for release later this year.

"Following months of speculation Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams confirmed they have been recording a new studio album as a five-piece, which they will release in November.

"It is the first time they've recorded a full album together since the release of their number one album 'Nobody Else', back in 1995."

Williams said: "I get embarrassingly excited when the five of us are in a room. It feels like coming home."

Mark Owen says: "Getting the five of us to be in a room together, although always a dream, never actually seemed like becoming a reality.

"Now the reality of the five of us making a record together feels like a dream. It's been an absolute delight spending time with Rob again. But I'm still a better footballer."

Sky News Entertainment correspondent Steve Hargrave said: "Apparently it's for just a year at first, and they will go on tour.

"It's no great surprise to Take That fans. Gary Barlow and Robbie have been talking a lot about becoming friends again.

"Robbie is releasing a greatest hits album in October, with one song recorded as a duet with Gary Barlow.

"It sets it up perfectly for this kind of fairytale reunion around Christmas time which will involve lots of spin-offs, of course."

So after five years of speculation it has finally be confirmed? Never did I think today would finally arrive, I really did think they would drag it out another few years  Let's just hope that after the album and tour are complete they go their seperate ways again and for good this time.

I have to say i am suprised they didnt do a big press conference to announce it considering the egos involved in this

Eugh just watchign this on Sky and Gordon Smart from the Sun was on and said that this is far more in Robbie's interest to rejoin as his last album only sold around 1 million copeis (appartnetly very average sales according to him)whereas TT are sellin millions all around the world. This is exactly the sort of utter nonsence that infuriates me - these thick of pig $h!t UK so called journalists spouting ill-informed $h!t out to the public, who unless they have a good knowledge of charts and sales will have little reason but to presume it is the truth. I have no issues whatsoever with people saying TT sell more albums than Robbie in the UK these days as it is factual informaton - however when ignoratant fools such as Smart Gordon on one hand mention TT selling millions around the world and use Robbie UK sales alone as an indicator of global success I feel like screaming. TT are utterly irrelivent on the global scale whereas Robbie is the 3rd biggest selling music act of the centry so far GLOBALLY with over 45M sold since 2000 alone, and his Close Encounter tour is one of the most profitable in the entire history of touring with 3.6m sold. Why is it that none of this is ever reported or even mentioned at all, yet the public are informed that TT are huge worldwide? You just couldnt make up the level of bias bull$h!t when it comes to this, and it is exactly because of the media that the overall public pereception is that Robbie is crawling back to TT because his last album 'only' sold a million in the UK.

As a fan of Robbie's and someone who has a large interest in charts and sale globally it pisses me off greatly, howver do I have any sympathy for Robbie for being seen as desperate by the British public? Definatly not. It was his decision afterall and he has totally ignored the very fans who have made him the star he is by promising a solo tour to his millions of fans accross the world (of which he has far more than in the UK) before 2012, a free gig in Dublin etc - yet that is highly unlikely at this stage. I am sure he will do promo for the GH is a half arsed way and just talk about the reunion with TT non stop like he did with RKTVS, again totally disrespecting the fans who waited 3 years for his return only to find out he has more interest in doing a massive tour with TT, where of course the stage fright and stess will miraculously dissapear.

As I've been going off TT for a while now (over the last nine months or so) I'm not as bothered as I used to be about this, especially as I'd decided not to go to their next concerts whether Rob was with them or not. However ... Take That have ignored the wishes of the huge majority of their fans by doing this. I guess you could say that both sets of fans have been treated a bit shabbily ... I don't care how 'bessie mates' they all are ... they could have remained mates and still remained separate entities. No matter what you Rob fans say ... as this joint tour will be the first you'll have seen him for quite a few years ... the vast majority of you will still go to the concerts just in case its your last chance to see him ... thus making the competition harder for those Take That fans who will do anything to see Take That (even putting up with Rob in the process).

Besides ... the whole thing will be a huge let-down after the magnificent Circus Tour ... which nothing, will ever better (and this is from someone who has seen Led Zeppelin, ELO, Madonna, Erasure, Deep Purple, Squeeze, and a few other great acts).

Edit - Rob and Gary really do look like a pair of smug gits! I feel sorry for the other three.

And from the Telegraph online:

Robbie Williams rejoins Take That

Robbie Williams and Take That have ended months of speculation by announcing that they have reunited for a new album. And Williams, who walked out on the group 15 years ago as he began to go off the rails, said: "It feels like coming home." The two sides have gradually settled their differences over the past few years, until revealing today that they were back - although time will tell if it is for good.

Footage posted on the band's website this afternoon shows them together in the studio - laughing, joking and singing as they worked on an untitled album to be released in November. Last year Williams and his former bandmates shared a stage for a Children In Need concert, an event organised by Take That's Gary Barlow.

However the quintet - completed by Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Howard Donald - had already begun to work together. Williams let slip during a radio interview late last year that they had been recording together.

Take That disbanded in 1996 but reunited without Williams in 2005 to huge success, including three number one singles.

The group's new album will be their first with the full line-up since 1995 release Nobody Else and has been produced by Stuart Price, who has worked with Madonna and Kylie Minogue.

Williams spoke of his joy at rejoining his old colleagues. He said: "I get embarrassingly excited when the five of us are in a room."

Bandmate Owen said: "Getting the five of us to be in a room together, although always a dream, never actually seemed like becoming a reality.

"Now the reality of the five of us making a record together feels like a dream. It's been an absolute delight spending time with Rob again. But I'm still a better footballer," he joked.

And Orange said: "I'm over the moon that Robbie's back with us, however long it lasts. I just want to enjoy our time with him. Life is beautifully strange sometimes."

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the band's formation, making their TV debut on producer Pete Waterman's ITV show The Hitman And Her.

By 1993 they had become huge and enjoyed a string of hits including Pray and Relight My Fire.

However Williams, the youngest of the group, was beginning to pull in a different direction, particularly when engaging in a "lost weekend" with Oasis at the Glastonbury festival in 1995.

After a difficult start he had a successful solo career, topping the chart with singles Millennium and Feel.

But the reunion of his former Take That colleagues in 2005 for live dates began to overshadow his success.

Despite Williams ridiculing Barlow during his early solo shows, the pair began to bury the hatchet in recent years and their friendship was renewed.

Williams said last year: "You carry around all this resentment and bitterness for such a long time."

After the five met up they embraced.

"We had a hug up and what was left was what we had at the beginning - just five guys that love each other," Williams said.

Williams had already revealed he was working with Barlow. Last month he announced the pair were to release a duet Shame which will feature on his greatest hits collection.

The new album will be released on Take That's label Polydor, rather than Williams's company, EMI.

I'm not sure whether the girl got it right or not ... but earlier tonight on Granada Reports ... she said they'd written six new songs for the album - one 'Shame' a duet with Gary Barlow. Eh? Does this mean that they're putting the song on both Rob's GH AND the Take That album? What a swizz? Or do you think the girl just got it wrong?

Either way ... I guess I don't really give a shiny sh/te anymore ... I'll be just looking on as a curious bystander with a bit of me hoping the whole thing goes tits up for all five of them.
