I think the Boy who Mudered love should have been the 1st single it has more crossover appeal.Plus it would have been a better album seller.I hope she starts her promotion for it soon it is such a good song.

People forget that the most important thing is to keep the album selling afterwards with subsequent singles, which this stands the best chance of doing...

Anyway, so much for Sophie supposedly barely clinging on to the top 75 (where the hell did that come from?)

41-75 on the Almost Sat chart is an educated guess pretty much :P

Huge drop for ash, they were in the early midweeks top 40 but dropped to #99,

Their last single 2 weeks ago was top 40 in the first mids and didn't even make the top 100 :P

This is Ash's second top 100 single from the 1-every-2-weeks release scheme, after Dare To Dream reached #87 4 weeks ago.

The vast majority of their sales are pre-orders. I'd expect them to have a few more top 40s in the mids but not get a top 75 single by the time this ends. :(

Album top 100 posted :D

It's interesting (for me anyway) to note that ignoring new entries, only eight albums in the top 100 have peaked below #20:

Mantovani - The Magic Of (#23) this was released last week

Timbaland - Shock Value II (#25)

Fyfe Dangerfield - Fly Yellow Moon (#59) this was re-released last week

Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment (#36) this was re-released last week

The xx - xx (#31)

Deftones - Diamond Eyes (#26) this was released last week

The Temper Trap - Conditions (#25)

Meat Loaf - Piece Of The Action - The Best Of (#71)

This shows that albums tend to fall into two categories:

Top 20 then plummet

Top 20 then stick around

21+ then plummet

If the Glee tracks were not in the chart, it would have been a top 40 hit.

was about to say that, a hard working band making an original piece of music miss out on the top 40 due to those nonsense (remake of old hits) glee single each week that only make the top 40 because of the tv coverage!

Sub Focus is one person :teresa:
