I don't know anyone that does. They're definitely not lol. Though you have to admit Funeral is a great record.

yeah loads of music mags and stuff always claim they're the best band ever, they are a f***ing excellent band, but best ever, i think not, if anything that puts me off them. infact the one review I have read of 'The Suburbs' so far has been like 'this just backs up they are the best band on earth'.

who wrote that lolol? any publiucation / media source who refers to ANY band as 'the best band ever' or anything of the sort is a $h!tty music mag.

so weird because i haven't read that anywhere. i actually haven't seen a single decade list that listed funeral as the best of 2000-2009, closest was pitchfork which put it at #2 if i can recall.

It's just that certain people have decided they're the best at the moment. Arcade Fire and The National.

Other opinions should remain silent. This is the USSR :P

Where that 'the best band right now' nonsense came from, I don't really know. Maybe they're bland enough to win everyone over and have the indie factor just right.

i dont know why but they have taken the review down, but it was from clashmusic.com. i also remember last time round nme did a big feature about them saying they were the best band ever, but nme are $h!t anyway.

yeah NME lost relevance like 10/15/20 years ago, along with rolling stone to some degree. :/ shame.
NME are getting more back on track now they have lost that Connor McNicholas twat, but yeah that Arcade Fire article was still when he was editor like back in neon bible times.

yeah but you can barely notice.

Really liking this album after a couple of plays. Not as good as Funeral (not much is) but as good as Neon Bible I think

it's brilliant, loving many tracks.

i think im finally decided im seeing them at Reading.

LOL LUV DIS

It reminds me a lot of Buzzjack, actually.

One of the most disturbing videos I've seen. Worst than 2 Girls 1 Cup.

Rolling Stone? hHahahaha...they liked Leona Lewis's monstrosity-single Bleeding Love and they deemed U2's All that You Can't Leave Behind as one of the best 100 albums of the 00s. Such a joke of a publication.

I'm not even remotely excited by the prospect of a new Arcade Fire album. :(

I have no idea why either, I loved Funeral and Neon Bible was good too but I just can't help but feel that it's going to be a case of diminishing returns. I hope I'm wrong.
