Good for Iceland! <3

OK my comments

Moldova // Was quite great and a good opener of the night. Decent vocals.

Russia // Oh Lord, this is awful, however it's pretty good for a live version lol. The facial expressions were so LMAO and so stupid i was laughing. Making a face like he was doing was so amusing, in a bad way. No drama whatsoever and it's supposed to be a sad song.

Estonia // This is extremely good! The guy can definitely sing! Also i love this version, it's much more melodic and you can manage the vocals better. The personality was there as well. Too bad it couldn't qualify, would be a very good finalist!

Slovakia // Now this is not a shocker for me after that awful performance, however i still thought they could just grab the qualification. Deservingly DNQ'd. Out of tune, awkward movements. There were some good places vocal wise but that's not enough.

Finland // It was incredible, as i expected. Not much different from their NF performance though... Too bad Europe can't see the amazingness of this perfect song. GAH.

Latvia // Quite an awful performance, nothing was going on, too bland. The singing was decent but not good enough for getting Latvia through to the final.

Serbia // BLAND BLAND BLAND. This change of voice technology used in the chorus was absolutely AWFUL. Completely ruined the performance for me. Did not improve from their NF number AT ALL.

Bosnia & Herzegovina // As soon as first seconds came in i instantly was caught by surprise and ecstasy. This version is absolutely incredible. Vukasin was fiercely hot, that was adding even more pleasure lol. The singing was flawless, i have never seen any song improved from their NF SO MUCH!!!!

Poland // Bland. Ok, there was some action to observe but it wasn't that new and frankly amazing. Vocals were quite good as well here. Too try-hard.

Belgium // From the reaction of the public it was obvious it was going to qualify one way or another. And deservedly. This was very good! I still can't see what was SO appealing in this song so that everybody would hype and love it the way it is in Europe at the moment. Simplicity rules trhe world. I'd be THRILLED to see it win. Completely another type of song to win with in this day and age in ESC!

Malta // It was pretty good although endless hand movements were annoying. Even more than of that woman in the first semi of Melodifestivalen, can't remember the song's title, it DNQ'd as well. The wings thing was amazing, added some spiciness into the performance! The operatic end was just amazing, it should've qualified just for that.

Albania // Fierce. She looked so good there on stage. The whole thing screamed ALBANIA though, it was lol! And yep they qualify and get the mid-table-nearer-to-the-end slot, pretty Albanian here as well haha!

Greece // Judging by the economical situation in Greece - all the money went to Sakis last year and nothing left for Giorgos this time. lolz. OK performance, could be better, but as i love the song as it is i'm still glad it got through.

Portugal // Now THAT'S a shocker. Totally different from the studio blandfest version. Vocals were almost flawless, i even voted in the end even though this vote should've gone for Iceland! As a massive Portugal fan of the last 2 years I was disappointed with their selection this time but now it's slowly getting its way to my favourite songs of the year! So good.

Macedonia // Started awfully. Vocals were hideous, performance was so bad on the whole... But then it slowly improved. One moment near the end I REALLY liked it, it was so fast i couldn't really understand what happened, but the song and the number seemed to just steal me, i was involved... Quite an interesting and new feeling.

Belarus // Absolutely HIDEOUS. So awful it doesn't have ANY good moments about it. Bland, terrible accent/mispronunciation of words, horrible vocals, scene action that could make you get into coma for 5 years. I'd not be surprised if anybody actually fell asleep during it.

Iceland // Audience reacted so well to Hera i am terrified to imagine what would happen when Azerbaijan or Germany get on stage!!! Hera was amazing as always. The part of the performance when she and other two female dancers walked onto their left with their left arm placed horizontally reminded me of Hold On Be Strong :kink:

I guessed 7/10 songs ^^

The ones I missed were:

Russia (I thought Finland)

Belarus (I thought Latvia)

Portugal (I though Slovakia)

Real surprised about Finland o.o...

We (Finland) had only Estonia giving neighbour votes.. No Norway or Sweden.

Russia and Belarus gave probably 12 points to each other which secured their qualification. I suspect Finland was placed 11th behind Russia and Belarus. Serbia and Bosnia also voted for each other...

It's a cruel world, Eurovision :(

Interesting draws - trust Russia to get basically the best draw going :heehee: I wouldn't be surprised to see it do as well as or better than Mamo now :drama:

If Lena trips up on Saturday (not literally, I mean performance wise ), Belgium all the way thanks :cheer:

Random thing but wasn't Iceland announced as the last qualifier last year as well?

after all of that i kinda have few questions (or suggestions) about wardrobe...

dear Thea and Aisha... please, please FIRE YOUR STYLISTS!!! i'd lynch them but i'm in a crappy mood today, so i guess that's not really necessary

Thea is a big girl, ok... she has curves but that dress... omfg... it made her look as flat-chested as Chinese underage gymnasts...

and Aisha, darling.... WHAT FOR??? did you tie a bath curtain with a sash, huh? at first i though that it was a skirt of a dress wrapped around her upper body and at some point smth will happen, like it will fall in a long skirt and wind machine will start... but NO.... it was the final "dress"...

ok rant is over....

oh wait... i just HAVE to say one thing... cheesy cliche wings. yeah... that about sums it up, Belarus *takes a bow* thanks you. i'm done.

lol

Aisha's outfit was major WTF moment indeed! I think we all know why Latvia DNQd now

The whole show had "only in ESC" marked all over it... It was amazing WTF all the way with the weirdest choreographies ever existed

Was it Laka that started the "hey let's have a little theatre here on stage" again couple of years ago?

I loved that performance but it was different because the song was also unique and brilliant

i'm very sorry about Slovakia and Finland. Damn they are good i think.

Tomorrow is big day :yahoo:

I wish Georgia qualify to Final. Go Sofia go

When my mum saw Aisha she said she looked like she's wearing a dressing gown.

When i first saw it I instantly thought of a thing that you wear when you enter the boxer ring  Movements were only proving it lol
I'm glad Belgium and Albania qualified. My mother pointed out that one of the presenters kept moving her elbows. Could've been from being nervous...
It's official: Russia can send any lame excuse for a song that it still goes thorugh to the final.

My mum noticed that too! :o The one in the purple dress!

My mum said she was flapping her arms like a chicken, I was wondering maybe she wanted to be a butterfly :P
