Yeahhh UK sucked as usual, deserved last place tbh. The song was just so utterly forgetable it was unbelievable, I can't remember it after hearing it again on youtube 10minutes ago.

 

I personally was routing for Turkey, great song. Greece had a fun eurovision typed song as well, so was happy if they got high as well.

 

Im just happy my comment wondering if Bear Grylls was on that island when everyone around the world was dancing got aired :D

Uh, no. Even if we reduced it to the three/four countries that voted for us, we still wouldn't have won. Get over your sad, pathetic patriotic delusions that we deserved to win and open your eyes and ears.

This contest has been imo better quality than last years contest overall.

 

More songs were of a high standard and also the Norwegians put on a very good show. I liked how they focused more on more unusual and fun things for the interval acts and not just strongly cultural dancing. The dancing interval act was amazing! The presenters were miles better than Russia's and also I think the three presenters actually worked well! Three presenters for Hamburg too please! ^_^

I just noticed, Moldova were robbed!

 

Too low: Georgia (probaby my winner other than Germany based on 2 fantastic performances), Iceland, Portugal, Albania, Moldova (just 'COZ), Norway (:()

 

Too high: Ukraine (good, but not THAT good), Denmark :kink:, Spain (shouldn't have re-performed IMO. it's live, it happens, you deal with it professionally (as Daniel did), and move on).

Uh, if you read back I was actually delighted Germany won. And am delighted that Denmark came top five, which is a hell of a lot better than most people were predicting!

Spain really shouldn't have reperformed. It didn't alter his performance at all really, did it? :/

The producers probably wanted Spain to perform again so that the invasion wasn't on the official DVD or recaps.

They always do...well, they did in 2003 and 2007 (TATU and Serebro). I think the general opinion by most is that it's just unfair they're guaranteed so many points each year. Let's be honest, if we - or just about anyone else, aside from Turkey or Armenia - had sent that this year, we'd probably have got less than Josh.
