At least 'Once' probably won't be known as the ultimate 'fail #1' of the year with Dizzee Rascal probably exiting the top 10 this week. Absolutely awful song, truly only got there on name.

I don't know. There's actually no number-ones I've not liked this year. Replay, Everybody Hurts, In My Head, This Ain't a Love Song, Nothin' On You and Dirtee Disco, I'm not that fond of, but I don't hate them. I think, out of the number-ones this year, the ones that might not've got to the top of it weren't for the artist are Everybody Hurts, Telephone, Once and Dirtee Disco. Although I did really like Telephone and Once, I don't think they'd've been number-ones if they weren't by such big names like Lady Gaga and Beyonce, or by someone who had the support of the X Factor, and managed to accumulate a lot of fans that way.

I can't be 100% sure with sales, but i do know that Frisky beat Gettin' Over You by about 1:1.95, so if one sells 10,000, the other sells 19,500.

We know from MW reports in the past that Sunday is the strongest day for downloads. They tail off quite a bit on Monday (can't remember if the exact % was stated in the report).

Miley Cyrus - Can't be tamed 21,568

Miley Cyrus - Party In the Usa 23,454

It's weird usually these Sales would get top 10!! they have been in previously.. the week before 21,568 would get Miley top 10. Tbh she's promoted Can't be tamed.. so imagine how good party in the usa would have been if performed on xfactor.

Yeah. Party in the USA would've done much better with X Factor promotion I think. Well, most songs would I suppose, but I do think Party in the USA deserved top 10.

Do you think sales could half?

Where is christina aguilera on the itunes album chart btw?

Hope she does well, been flopping this comeback :\

Bionic (Deluxe) is at #1 :yahoo:

Bionic (Standard) is at #56 :)

doing well in the iTunes Albums ^_^

:o Really?! So excited to get the album! The songs are amazing! ^_^

I wonder how far Pixie is from N-Dubz at #13. I hope she, Rihanna and Alicia can rise this week!

I think Sunday accounts for something like 22% for the week, which drops steadily towards the middle of the week before rising again at the weekend.

So something like:-

Sun 22%

Mon 14%

Tue 12%

Wed 10%

Thu 12%

Fri 14%

Sat 16%

So Sunday's are 1.57 the size of Monday's (or Monday's 64% of Sunday's).

The MW report definitely gave some of the daily %'s (but not all) - think they gave Sunday's and Friday's and Saturday's. It's on this site somewhere, I'm sure someone (e.g. vidcapper) will know.

Dirtee Disco does look like doing even worse than Once, but even with DD dropping out of the top 10, he'll almost certainly get a fresh top 10 hit this week with Shout For England.

Thanks.

Why do people keep saying hope alicia can rise, shes not going to.

I'm so glad she made top 10, love her & the song and great performance on BGT but it wouldnt have made top 10 without BGT and should just be happy with its peak already!

I think there is still hope for rihanna breaking in to top 10 with the right radio/tv support...time will tell.

A lot of big songs coming though so she may miss out.

Doubtful pixie will make it, when was her last top 10 boys and girls?

Thanks Britster, I knew someone on here would know what/where it was!!

Doing a bit of interpolation for Tuesday (between Mon/Wed) and the same for Thursday, gives an almost perfect answer:-

  • Sunday - 17.6% (1st)
  • Monday - 13.4%
  • Tuesday - not given (interpolated = 12.8%)
  • Wednesday - 12.2% (7th)
  • Thursday - not given (interpolated = 13.15%)
  • Friday - 14.1 %
  • Saturday - 16.9% (2nd)
Total = 100.15%

so can assume that the figures calculated for Tuesday/Thursday aren't too far away.

Glee Update

234. Another One Bites the Dust (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

242. It's a Man's, Man's Man's World (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

258. Good Vibrations (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

300. Tell Me Something Good (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

881. Give Up the Funk (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

They aren't really going to be troubling the charts very much, this week.

They're pretty much the same positions as at 9pm this evening (give or take +/-4 either way). Perhaps iTunes just hasn't updated yet? I can't see there being no rise in the tracks at all given past performance.

Songs on glee were so bad tonight, didnt like any, i suppose most arent the big pop songs either so that explains the chart positions.

Hopefully a better episode next week.
