lets just say I actually really like it but I agree it's should be released summer next year as a 4th single from the new album/re release.

This is being posted on most Alex forums by someone who is considered fairly reliable, not sure if there is an ounce of truth in it though.

 

I'm gonna give you guys an insider EXCLUSIVE!This new single is part of the re-release...NO its not going to be used over Xfactor because she will have another single out by then...The Christmas Single she will be releasing will be 'The Silence' she's already filmed the video a few months of which she looks ABSOLUTELY STUNNING in and this will be the song she performs on Xfactor with a HUGE Choir which will finally help the album shift over a million, I reckon the label have made a wise choice by re-releasing it and using The Silence as the Xmas Song for her

So they're planning a summer re-release with this and then "The Silence" as a winter single? What part of that is a good idea? They should just forget about the video for "The Silence", it's never going to be a hit. Releasing it after a re-release will be pointless (a bit like Rihanna releasing "Rehab" after countless re-releases) even with X Factor and releasing it now would be out of place.

 

I hope none of that is true, this isn't single material either.

 

You are kidding right, The Silence is one of the best tracks off Overcome and a fan favorite.It is a perfect Winter single and hopefully as a ballad an album seller.Are you sure you have heard the song, Alex has alot of adult fans who prefer her ballads.

OMG i would love Alex to perform The Silence on the x factor and for it to be a winter single! I really hope that is true....but part of me thinks its too good to be true :(

Its been removed from YT which is normally a sign that it is going to be released.

I suppose a 2nd album only makes sense if she is touring next year she definately needs new songs.It would be a shame though if Dumb, The Silence or Overcome are never singles.Pixie, Beyonce and Rhianna seem to release constantly off one album, I think Alex should do the same with Overcome.
