I have decided to make a Top 20 of my favourite films (that I own on DVD). I will mark each one with a link to their trailers... (Sorry if they're mainstream or too "new" or whatever, but I adore all of these)

Oh and I've decided to not include the 'Saw' & 'Final Destination' franchises as I love more than one from the franchise and can't pick haha.

I think that gives a pretty decent take on my top 20 favourite films. I genuinely adore all of them, all obviously for different reasons. I need to start watching some indie flicks or whatever, coz I don't think I've seen any in full because most of the time I didn't realise they existed haha.

These are all great films, I can't comment on Step Up 2 or Honey as I haven't watched them. And I so should have included Cloverfield in my list, one of the most exhilarating films I've ever watched on the big screen. It was the equivalent of a theme park ride, and the marketing before hand was the equivalent of standing in the queue; it was a cinematic experience and a half. I wish J.J would make a sequel like he said instead of practically doing a remake with Super 8 (the secret project he is working on with Spielberg.) Jonjo seeing as how you loved Cloverfield so much, you have to watch the trailer for Super 8.

Oh, and seeing as how you want to watch more indie films, and going by your sense of humour, I think you will love Drop Dead Gorgeous *hint hint* :P I just want someone else to watch it, so we can quote the killer one liners to eachother :( In a way it's a more sophisticated, sharper, funnier and darker version of Glee without the singing. Kristie Alley's character isn't too far removed from Sue.

OMG! 'Super 8' looks pretty incredible! (You can tell it's gonna be in 3-D though which is sort of a letdown :() What's it going to be about do you know yet? I thought they were making a sequel to 'Cloverfield'? (through the army's camera's or something ).

You've sold me on 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' with the comparison to 'Glee' :kink: I'm gonna start watching now :)

It's very much like Cloverfield, no one knows f*** all basically :P the only thing that has been confirmed is that "It will take place in 1979 and it will be a homage/tribute to Spielberg's 70's/80's science fiction films with a mystery and supernatural feel from Abrams." There's speculation it centers around a bunch of kids who are shooting a movie with a Super 8 camera and when they develop the film, they notice that there's an alien creature in the frame. It won't start filming until autumn this year, the trailer was made separately like Cloverfield, in April. And like Cloverfield the trailer was secretly attached to Iron Man 2 without people knowing (although news leaked of a secret tailer being released in front of Iron Man 2, so secret it was kept with prints of the film itself rather than the other trailers.) People thought it was a trailer for a new Cloverfield trailer, so I was kinda disapointed. Hopefully it will still happen though.

And yay! I thought that Glee camparison will get you interested :P I hope you enjoy it.

Lloretta is AMAZING! As is Brittany Murphy's character
"ENGLISH! SPEAK ENGLISH! YOU STUPID re****!" LMFAO!

I absoultely love that line. the delivery is perfect

Allison Janey is so amazing, "Oh no, she's just screaming "Mom, Mom" 'cause she's got Tourettes. She's Annette's kid, dip$h!t."

And Becky is just great, "My Mom gave me this 9mil for my birthday, I'll always remember what she wrote in the card. "Jesus loves winners". That's why, no matter what I do, I aim to win."

Also her talent is just LOL worthy.

I know whenever I see this film I feel so sad about what happens to her, she's so good at comedy. Her laugh is infectious, she has a classic line towards the end.

damn i forgot about this thread! still not watched drop dead gorgeous but i'm gonna gonna. and i tried to find martyrs online but i couldn't find a version with subtitles :( from the part at the beginning that i did see though it looked wicked. wetted my appetite for it for sure!!

and jonjo i love your list of favourite films! i've only actually seen 7 of them but the others i either really wanna see or look pretty good from the trailers.

and wow that super 8 trailer looks wicked!! i hope it's like cloverfield like you say but i hope it's not science fiction i'm not keen on that kinda stuff :( i get put off by science fiction cos i can never get the though from the back of my mind whilst i'm watching it that these things could never happen. though saying that i loved e.t. and i can't see that happening anytime soon so i'm probably just being a hypocrite. but i suppose an e.t. could just be hatched one day. well it's more likely than the things in star wars anyway :P
