im disapointed it isnt top 100, i had hoped it would have managed 1 more week on the back of the tour.

we never uslaly find out the positions from outside the top 100 though, looks like 325,000 will be aphrodite total uk sales as i cant see it selling much more now.

At a pure guess i would say uk sales are about 308,000 now,

At least its reached platinum status but I had high hopes for this album and am disappointed its sold much less than X, which is a far inferior album in my opinion.

If Parlo put more effort into this Era after the album was released then it had potential to get to 500K I think :(

One hits and it produced a Plantium, imagine... three hits together?

All the lovers was and still is fantastic and it did save the album, no other song would have set the album of to such a good start, sadly the momentum dropped of after that, i know the sales are disapointing overall, but at least it has managed platnum.

'Aphrodite' was a great Summer album. I was thrilled when I got it for my birthday in July and it was on heavy rotation all throughout July, August and September. It was the perfect soundtrack for that Summer, and I think Parlophone could've sold the album as that. "All The Lovers" was indeed the obvious best choice for a lead single, and it worked wonders, but "Get Outta My Way" and "Better Than Today" were poor coice of singles and poorly promoted as such and that was what killed the album. Mind you, they're stellar tracks, especially GOOMW (and it's video!) but it just didn't work with the public. I always thought "Closer" and "Cupid Boy" had an edgier sound that would keep Kylie on the spotlight.

Again, not top 100 :( But this Japan charity release should hopefully boost the album back into the top 75

Higher was a deceny sized top 10 hit and it did nothing for the album so i dont hold out much hope that the charity single for japan will do much either unless it turns out to be a massive hit.

Higher didn't really have anything to do with the album :( I think it will continue to sell in drips and drabs but I don't see it getting back into the Top 75.

Exactly although i did think with it doing so well it might have pushed a few extra people into buying the album which unfortunatly it didnt, likewise her upcoming single for japan i think wwill have a similar impact on the album ie not much, i still think its a shame they are not going ahead with an aphrodite re release as its an album i feel has huge potential to sell alot more.

The massive drop it had from 60 down to 99 in February didn't help!

 

I think Aphrodite should be re-released too, with Higher, We Are One, and few other new songs. Sadly, after Kylie confirmed there wouldn't be any more new singles from Aphrodite, the re-release isn't looking too good :(
