June 13, 201016 yr It's so funny that solo Fergie has got a #1 with 'Gettin' Over You' and not with her own brill staff!..
June 13, 201016 yr And another song that's gone 1-4. Although to be fair this probably won't fall as fast as Once or DD. I think it will have a similar chart run to When Love Takes Over.
June 13, 201016 yr Loads of quick falling #1's this year, in fact the charts have massively sped back up, thank god :D We definitely seem to have more busy weeks than slow weeks these days, even when there's not many new entries there are a lot of climbers to compensate. Very pleasing, the last few years of slow movement have been rather boring to say the least. So glad to see Wavin' Flag up to #3, two weeks in the mid-top 20 and then a sudden leap to the top 3 - almost like Baha Men - Who Let The Dogs Out
June 13, 201016 yr 3 (from 16) K'naan - Wavin' Flag [D] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/2733657.JPG Chart Run: 16-16-3 [3 wks] Release date: 21-06-2010 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 2733657 Label: polydor K'Naan Warsame was fortunate to arrive in New York City during his teenage years, as the Somali Civil War was reaching its peak of bloodshed. After spending some time in Harlem, he and his family eventually settled in Toronto, where he began to develop his voice as a poet, which was heavily influenced by the cadences of the early rappers. K'Naan soon sparked attention, most of all from Senegalese musician Youssou N'Dour, who was moved by the young poet's performance in front of a U.N. refugees committee. While THE DUSTY FOOT PHILOSOPHER first saw release and acclaim (including a Juno award) in 2005/06, it was widely reissued in 2008. In the intervening period, artists ranging from Nelly Furtado to Mos Def began collaborating with K'Naan as he prepared new material and toured the world, spreading his message about the injustices against the Somali people. - HMV Video here: WTJSt4wP2ME Chart history (Year peak title): 2010 40 Stop For A Minute (Keane & K'naan) 2010 03 Wavin' Flag
June 13, 201016 yr I wanted K'Naan to be number 2 :( still number 3 is still pretty brilliant, this is one of the best football songs in the chart
June 13, 201016 yr 'Wavin' Flag' 'Gettin' Over You' 'Ridin' Solo' 'Nothin' On You' 'Try Sleepin' With A Broken Heart'? :P
June 13, 201016 yr Hi everyone :cheer: Have been out to Camden today with my friends from up north... so glad to see K'Naan top 3 and Shakira top 40  Less happy for Three Lions and Vindaloo :drama:
June 13, 201016 yr I properly love it, should have been this week's #1 *instead of we all know what 'song'*! Edited June 13, 201016 yr by Arrs
June 13, 201016 yr I wanted K'Naan to be number 2 :( still number 3 is still pretty brilliant, this is one of the best football songs in the chart   Correction. THIS IS THE BEST FOOTBALL SONG IN THE CHART! :w00t: I love it so much.
June 13, 201016 yr Author I didn't think this would get this high, I heard it back in late April, and I thought nothing much, but its certainly grown on me.
June 13, 201016 yr 32 Vindaloo-Fat Les I admit I have a guilty pleasure for Soccer tunes including this tune whose video parodies The Verve's "Bitter Sweet Symphony" clip.
June 13, 201016 yr 32 Vindaloo-Fat Les I admit I have a guilty pleasure for Soccer tunes including this tune whose video parodies The Verve's "Bitter Sweet Symphony" clip. I'd never seen the start of the video before yesterday and it cracked me up
June 13, 201016 yr Really can't decide which one I hate the most: Frisky or Shout for England. Vile top 2! <_< :puke2:

June 13, 201016 yr The new Westlife gets yet another #1! Declining quality of singles = rising number of #1's! I didn't see anything stopping Tinie but I guess these freak singles do happen :o Fergie and Alicia prevent an all male top ten :o
