A rug in a kitchen is indeed odd - surely you spill stuff and drop food on it a lot? Very risky I would have thought Jups :smoke:

Well, I just proved to meself I am not fleet of foot.....managed to fracture my left ankle at work back on Wednesday.....and, boy, does it ache.....I'm waiting to find out where I am to go to see an orthopaedic doctor.....

I don't know anyone else with a rug in their kitchen.

Thank you. I'm not the only one who thinks that's strange.

I guess she wants to keep her feet warm

I do like rugs, but in the kitchen, they get messy with food. ;)

Oh will you all shut up about my rug

I'm scared to mention the one I have in my garden shed

I'd not even been back to work a month, when I managed my fit of clumsiness, back on Wednesday.....and, with heat indices (humidex) at about 45C, I've been absolutely sopping wet head to toe, by the time I'd head home....and, yes, I know I'm an idiot....

Odd is nice.....

Ouch, if you went to hospital for your ankle they should send you to their fracture clinic

In the garden shed  Oh Jups you are one strange lady :P

How exactly did you injure your foot?

I was moving some equipment around in preparation to be picked up to be returned to the office, since we were done with it on the job....toe of my left work boot caught part of a broken screw sticking up through the floor, I twisted me ankle, and took a tumble....didn't know it at the time, but, I fractured it....was still, and is, bothersome....went to work Thursday, mentioned me ankle was quite bothersome, and asked what was needed for me to do to get it checked out....

Here in the US, they usually send you to some sort of walk-in clinic for any work injuries, unless one is having a heart attack...so, off to the walk-in clinic I went, and, now I'm waiting for the workers comp insurance to tell me where to go for an orthopaedist....they perform a drug test, too, for any work injuries here in the US....at the clinic, I was told I'd be having a follow-up appointment in 3 days with an orthopaedist....to be evaluated and treated by them....I just need to remember to take this dvd with the x-ray images for the orthopaedist to look at....so, I'm hoping by Tuesday I'll be seen by an orthopaedist.....I just can't get comfortable with an ace bandage on me ankle to try and get any sleep....

Ouch damn that must have hurt.

Yeah its almost exactly the same here, we call them outpatient clinics...no drug tests though. Hope it's not a bad fracture, would suck if they put your ankle in plaster.
