Looka as if my time posting here at buzzjack's going to be severely limited.....I've landed a job as an electrician, in, of all places, Afghanistan.....I'll be signing up for a year, and, I just don't know what my internet access is going to be, since I'll be working 84 hours a week....but, I'll have the chance to take some R&R while I'm over there, and, who knows, I just might take a trip to Ireland....

I am so sick of the rain. That's all there's been here the past couple of weeks: rain, rain, rain.

 

There's also been flooding. Makes work so much harder cause a few people can't get in cause their houses have flooded.

Yes, the miners' rescue was excellent to watch

 

Just as well they were stuck down a mine in Chile and not in the UK though. Over here they'd still be carrying out risk assessments and putting 5,000 cones round the mineshaft with a 50 mile exclusion zone in place. For Health and Safety reasons you see.... :rolleyes:

 

 

Just coincidentally, there's a Fatal Accident Enquiry about to resume in the Scottish Courts about this case. Absolutely tragic. And shocking. :angry: This happened quite near where I live
