Nice to see you back Biggie.

Saw on the home page that Brisbane was getting floods, hope you're ok there.

Red Rag. Bull....

Sounds like you are having fun Biggy

At the moment Queensland is f***ed (no other word covers it). Flooding everywhere. I live in the capital Brisbane and the CBD was just evacuated an hour ago. The river is set to peak in 45 or so minutes and floods will be terrible, worst it's been since 1974 (ironic year yes :P).

Thankfully my area is not one of the 32 listed on the high flood alert list so I think I'll be safe...but seeing as how this rain just isn't letting up anything could happen.

I've got cousins in Brisbane, I just hope they alright, as they are isolated in the wild, near Toowoomba

Ossy, was worried about you. The pictures on the news are truly terrible. :(

Will your home be ok?

What's the CBD?

I don't even need to ask which thread you're referring to.

And,no, I did not give my opinion on the matter.... -_-

Think I have seen the thread you mean, haven't opened it.
Just to let you know about my sore ankle. I went to A&E yesterday for an x-ray. Nothing broken but I've torn my ankle ligaments. :(

I'm managing. Wore my slippers to work today. Not the crazy bright pink ones with pompoms, Sparkle, don't panic. :P

Ooooh it says on Sky News 20,000 Brisbane homes could be flooded. Bad stuff indeed.

Right, I'm off to read my book for half an hour before beddybyes. Night everyone.

Stay safe Ossy.

Watching the news and the pictures, looks so horrible, its like a disaster movie.
Looks like we need to send Ossy a row boat to get round Queensland and Brisbane....

I'm surprised it hasn't been deleted and the thread's starter dealt with.

Ooooh I hope they are alright but there is a really high chance they will be flooded.

Yes I am okay thankfully. The flooding only effects the areas near the Brisbane river.

I am at Mt Gravatt East near the big "A" so I am more than far away enough to not be flooded. Still it has hit many friends.

Like I said anywhere near the river is flooded. St Lucia is where my uni is and it's flooded. West End, New Farm, Milton, Toowong all flooded and many more areas.

The CBD is the heart of Brisbane Jups and it's where the word Brisbane is right underneath New Farm. Parts of it have even flooded as well. Worst floods we've had in over 100 years. Set to peak tomorrow morning at 4am with the tides.

Good evening. I'm off work till Wednesday :cheer:

Going to rest my foot and read my book. Sod all else planned. No money <_<

Money Money Money, what a bitch at times eh.

Sounds like a good plan Jups, going to rest your foot that is. Those things take time innit.

Hi Nicky :D

It's still very swollen. My left ankle is twice the size of my right one.
