June 18, 201015 yr Oh my god. Gutted for Christina. I don't think she deserved it as this album is really good. But still maybe this will serve as a wake up call for all those stupid long breaks she takes between albums.
June 18, 201015 yr Oh my god. Gutted for Christina. I don't think she deserved it as this album is really good. But still maybe this will serve as a wake up call for all those stupid long breaks she takes between albums. But the first single wasn't really strong IMO. I was really disappointed when I saw the video...
June 18, 201015 yr Looks like Christina will break the record for the biggest fall from number 1 for an album
June 18, 201015 yr Albums 4 Royal Air Force Squadronaires  They've released a lot of albums- Glen Miller has had a few in the charts in the last few weeks- I think one made the top 10 This must be a collective album
June 18, 201015 yr Fair enough, I get the idea, but why is it climbing? No sign of a singles chart btw :(
June 18, 201015 yr What exactly does Christina expect in fairness!! Great record and Not myself tonight wasnt a dreadful lead single had she got off her ass and done even SOME promotion in the UK i'm shocked she got a no1 (even with crap first wk sales) Amen.

June 18, 201015 yr I bet K'Naan has overtaken Shout but they don't want us to know just yet so we will be unsure of the result before Sunday
June 18, 201015 yr I bet K'Naan has overtaken Shout but they don't want us to know just yet so we will be unsure of the result before Sunday they've never done anything like that before, I doubt they'd do it now  looks like we'll have to wait until Dave's update to find out  Edited June 18, 201015 yr by chart wizard
June 18, 201015 yr Drake back down below Crowded House, expected that. :( Lol at RAF Squadronaires and I hope Bionic falls out of the top 20 :D
June 18, 201015 yr That is seriously awful for Christina. I was expecting just outside the top 10 at the very worst to be honest. This is really doomed unless it somehow magically gets saved.
June 18, 201015 yr christinas big fall was due to a low profile lead single and then her getting to no1 on name alone and the fact sales of albums are so low at the mo. it reminds me of the singles chart in 2004!!
June 18, 201015 yr The RAF Squadronaires album, "In The Mood - The Glenn Miller Celebration" (samples can be found at Amazon UK, which has the album listed as "In The Mood - The Glenn Miller Songbook") features 14 new recordings of Glenn Miller classics (In The Mood, Pennsylvania 6-5000, Little Brown Jug, etc.). This is their 70th anniversary, and I read that they have been doing a number of public events to celebrate. The album is wonderful. The songs are faithful to the original arrangements, and the sound quality is incredible (Miller's originals have been remastered nicely, but you can still tell they were recorded a long time ago -- the RAF versions sound just like Miller's originals, only cleaner and clearer because they were recorded in 2010). Stacey Solomon (from last year's X-Factor) sings vocals on "At Last" and does a great job. And "Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree" features the original Andrews Sisters vocals (like the Natalie/Nat "Unforgettable"). All in all, it's a great album that is very worthy of a Top 5 position. It debuted at #9 two weeks ago, then rose to #7 last week, so seeing it rise again this week is nice (Decca Records must be thrilled). Edited June 18, 201015 yr by diditagain
