Isn't Over The Rainbow at #14 now, Theo?
Oh, I'm so sorry iTunes updated whilst I was typing, I mean GAWD, I forgot to refresh the feed every second!
It's not an "after school" effect at all. I can hardly seeing young children buying dance music in the evenings, it's most definately of those who are getting ready for a night out...

I thought children were responsible for most of the sales on iTunes, in the first place. Most of the people buying songs like Alejandro, All Night Long, I Like, Commander, etc. are probably children.

So I think the sales of almost all the songs will get an "after school" effect, but it's not so noticeable, as most of the songs benefit, and cancel each other out, sort of.

A lot of children are off school though at the moment, due to exams.

LOL, all of them songs will be bought mainly by people who are about to go clubbing.

theo, sarcastic much?!

Every time. :)

is K'Naan getting any closer to the number 1 or is he stalling? :(

he dropped a bit from the last update when i compared the 2

Erm... WOW @ the Glee songs. I thought that due to the fact that there was a Regionals album, that the songs wouldn't do as well, individually on iTunes. Guess I was wrong!

On a Tuesday? :P

Well, I guess...

It could be a combination maybe. :D

Miley/Justin and other teen-orientated artists tend to rise 4pm-ish onwards in the week... to me it's obvious people heard the song in school via word of mouth/radio.

Eenie Meenie is up a place.

Example & Kylie really battling today, imagine with no footie it would be those two against eachother, looks like example will and would have won anyway as its #2 today in midweek update.

Yes, because the song has two other versions in the top 200 plus also the physicals.

Example would be winning anyway as he has 3 versions of the song charting - would probably be alot closer if Kylie had released the physical realease this week

Expect big things from these songs being released in the next few weeks..

Sunday:-

Katy Perry ft Snoop dog - California Girls (expect big things)

Following Sunday:-

Enrique Iglesias feat Pitbull - I Like It

Lady Gaga – Alejandro

Kelly Rowland feat David Guetta – Commander

The next sunday:-

3OH!3 feat Ke$ha – My First Kiss

JLS - The Club Is Alive

The next sunday:-

Esmée Denters feat Justin Timberlake - Love Dealer

Professor Green feat Lily Allen – Just Be Good To Green

Diana Vickers – The Boy Who Murdered Love

(italics are the songs already available)

(bold two i predict as #1's)

If it wasn't for JLS I'd say 3OH!3 and Professor Green were pretty solid bets for #1s. Shame. :(

^ Yeah i'd agree with you there!

Also i am aware of example's situation, however not much of an exuse against a bigger star, like kylie's 'comeback' who should have (i would have guessed) a bigger fanbase.
