i hope katy perry dont do a train - hey soul sister: get #1 in all other countries and stall at like #18 or something in england
Thinking With You is one of my favourites of her, the lyrics are so superbly written, and it's a song that really makes me feel emotional, not that many songs do that!

Yeah Katy wrote the whole song by herself. One of the main reasons why I have grown to love her.

What I also love about TOY is the music. It reflects different emotions throughout - first it's kinda tongue-in-cheek, then it turns sad, then it gets really emotional and intense (when it's at its rockiest) and it ends being really mellow. Such a stunning and underrated song.

Katy Perry - #39

Scissor Sisters - #134

Indeed, she did! I love her tongue-in-cheek lyrics, it's what makes Katy so special, how she's got the whole 'novelty' thing about, she's just a good fun artist to have around, who doesn't take herself to seriously.

Underrated, totally agree. :) I feel like we're going off-topic, but seeing as we don't have a Katy Perry forum ( )

No for a couple of weeks the pre-orders had an impact...Without being on Pre-order there would be no way Diana Vickers jumped straight in at 9 after just 30 mins after release..Surely? You can tell because she took ages to get to the top. Even if her fans downloaded she would have never got to 9 that quick without the pre-orders having some sort of an impact??

You can't pre-order the individual tracks, you can only pre-order EPs/single packages and they chart in the iTunes Album Chart.

Depends on whether it's a 2 track single or an EP (3 tracks or more).

2 track singles appear on the iTunes albums chart when they're on pre-order only. After release, you won't find the 2-track single on the iTunes Albums chart, and I suspect that iTunes dumps the pre-order sales onto the Songs list, so the pop bars look someone has entered the chart really high 30 minutes after release.

3 track (or more) EPs chart on the iTunes albums chart on pre-order and after release (eg, Tinie Tempah and Example still appear on iTunes albums chart). The sales of the EPs and individual tracks get added together by OCC.

Katy Perry #31

Who cares if we're going off-topic? :P It's been off-topic all week! We really do need a Katy (and an Alexandra) forum. :snif:

Regarding CG, I'm glad it's rocketing now. I think SS will get to #10 officially next week.

Katy Perry isn't #23 on my feed? But I'd love to believe you.

Same Lol :)

Really hope K'naan can stay No 1, hope Alex, Train and the Scissor Sisters can climb. It would be a shame if Fire with Fire does not go Top 10 they were really good on Ross.I wonder if Al Green has any chance of going Top 50 he was great on Friday.

Really not getting the fuss over Katy Perry's new single. 'Hot N Cold' is my favourite pop song of the past 2 1/2 years, but this is a massive disappointment. Scissor Sisters is poor too.
