July 28, 201014 yr Author Really hope the acoustic of Ego is like the live lounge version! :) It is the Live Lounge version :) And the Forever Is Over acoustic was recorded from some place else too. So technically they're not 'new' acoustic recordings.

July 28, 201014 yr I really like the new single "missing you" but I'm afraid I can't see the new album doing very well. Mini albums rarely do well, take a look at Keane's Night Train and Robyn's last album. The Saturday's are more of a singles selling act than albums. Only the real fans are likely to buy Headlines for the extra tracks, the general public are more likely to just stick to the singles. I think they would have been better to have re-released the wordshaker album and included the new tracks from Headlines on it.

August 2, 201014 yr I see number one for Missing You as it is simply eic and is welcomed by a larger fan base. Just what they need. I doubt the ep will do spectacularly well but its an ep and the label know the history of them - they are not daft. Its a bridge to build up to the third album. as said they have over 1m UK sales - they will not be dropped. The label know what they are doing.
August 4, 201014 yr I think now that the releasing this is quite wise idea. It didn't cost much to write the new material, the existence of the two previous singles on the album would help too as 'Wordshaker' didn't sell really much, the fans would get the album no matter how many new songs will be on it... Besides, the price will be cheaper. I think the album will be quite profitable for Fascination. It won't sell bucketloads but it'll be profitable.

August 8, 201014 yr Higher Was expecting brilliance, and it's pretty much what I got. It's like Ego only slightly less amazing, give me another listen or two though and I probably wont be able to get a sentence out within mentening how much I love this. 9/10 Died In Your Eyes It's nice, for me this is like some of the weaker Wordshaker tracks only less cheesy sounding and a lot more bearable. I havent listened to Kristina DeBarge's album in ages so I dont remember the original all that well but it does the job well enough I'd say. 7/10 Karma This is going to be such a love/hate affair but good god is this amazing. Unashamedly trashy to the core, it's exactly the type of album track The Saturdays do brilliantly, they've basically taken all the elements that were good about The Dolly Rockers and put it into song. 10/10 Puppet I thought this was very filler material to begin with, but it really gets going in the last half. Starts off as being very forgettable, but ends up with me singing along very loudly and very baddly. Give me a few more listens before I make up my mind. 7.5/10 To conclude, we have two pieces of Saturdays brilliance and two very good but perhaps very disposable songs.
