The article I wrote is purely about identifying sales for 2009 and 2010 and causes for concern and perhaps areas in which The Sats have actually done well on this year, sales wise. If you actually read what I put I cleary write about how Wordshaker/Headlines has had 4 singles and a total of 1m records sold, and how I'm sure that if a 5th single was to be released it would hopefully match up to Chasing Lights 1.3m total sales...

 

"if you combine both Wordshaker and Headlines era together they've sold around 1.05m records and that's with 4 singles, and two albums (1 of them technically a re-release). The whole of the Chasing Lights era however did 1.3m with 5 singles and 1 album. If they'd of perhaps just done one more single and got alot of radio support (like with Missing You which was #1 on airplay for 2 weeks unbelievably...) they could of levelled the era figures out a bit..."

Sales in the new year will plummit like each year so hopefully it will climb a bit in the chart but its sales will keep on decreasing now unfortunately. They really do need a 3rd single to pull this back up again.

I'm still baffled that the album is selling like this; would not have expected it at all; in all fairness I think if the circumstances were the same this album is doing better than chasing Lights. Obviously in reality it isn't.

 

Urgh, and once again the instrumental used in their flips has changed; this time its 'Died in Your Eyes'; guess speculation for 'Karma' as third single is dead. :wacko:

According to the source it is not known yet if this promo only release will ever make it to the public as the release date just says "TBA". The tracklist also brings some light on some un-heard mixes such as the Higher 'Ultimate High' remix (although I think they may have got confused with the Ultimate Mix) and the One Shot 'E-Squire' remix. All the mixes for Here Standing named above have leaked, and there is a 'Radio Mix' of the 7th Heaven mix floating about out there too (however It appears to be missing parts of the original so I think it may be looped). Speaking of 7th Heaven, it is a crime that their remix of Higher is not included in this EP.

The expanded version of headlines has been reduced to £4.99 on HMV.COM so if u don't have it yet, now is a great chance to buy it!

Even without a third single it could reach sales near to 200,000 xD well somewhat near. :naughty:

 

Its #86 this weeks; up 2 places from last weeks #88 :cheer:

It's probably only sold around 6K at most this week, I think. :( But considering the circumstances it's done pretty well. It might just get a 20th week top 100 next week! :D

Album sales are gonna nose dive from now on, so Headlines will hopefully creep up the chart, but the sales will be no-where near as strong as they have been the last few weeks.

Headlines is down on price everywhere #52 on play.com :o Doing better in Hmv aswell! TEAM SATS.
