This is still not growing on me! The acoustic bits sound identical to Jessica Simpson's 'Come On Over' :( I think I have to start some petition because if this is chosen as a single over 'Stay', 'Liberty Walk' and 'Permanent December' I will scream !

Does anyone think this might be a sign that the speculation is true? :drama: Or is it only getting airplay from the speculation?

Well I doubt it would manage to chart in the airplay just from speculation of a few forums and blogs on the internet. It's probably just from the albums release, and if it there should be some other album tracks there too.

^ Nope. It's only CBT at #15 and TMLP at #189. The 9 spins must be from that radio station that said it was the 2nd single
I love this song! But 'Robot' would be a much better choice!

why would the radio not touch it :o ?

it's not like the radio touch miley songs anyway

'Robot' is gorgeous  It is one of the 6 11/10-rated songs on the album for me. But I agree with Jark, it has a very heavy harsh sounding chorus (which is why it is shuffled down to the lower end of the CBT track listing) much like Kelly Clarkson's 'Never Again' but that turned out to be a decent hit for Kelly but radio only supported it because it was the lead single from the largely anticipated follow-up to the huge 'Breakaway' era...

U.S. radio adores Miley! I still hear TC and PITUSA on an almost daily basis on radio here! The people at radio 1 in the UK just have some pathetic grudge against her, they never support her airplaywise and they just are forever slagging her on the sunday chart shows. If she had the radio 1 support in the UK she would most likely have had the amount of top 10 hits in the UK that she had in the US...

Lee :P..

"Party in the U.S.A." has become a huge airplay hit for Cyrus' in the U.S., becoming her first #1 on the Mainstream Top 40, also known as the Pop Songs chart.

It is her second song to top an airplay chart, as "The Climb" reached #1 on Adult Contemporary radio.

i meant the uk radio (A)(A)

does anyone know how to upload pics into personal charts.. i needed to redo mine i clicked on insert image but it's asking for a http; ?

Ahh! ;)

This will help you here

'Two More Lonely People' will bring back her older fanbase, as well as bring in some newer fans for her I think. God knows, looking at the US sales (I know it's a weaker period etc... but Em can still do 600k+...) she could do with bringing some of her older fans back. I don't know why you're so against it as a single choice Crystal.

I think 2MLP could be a good single choice. The chorus lacks a little bit of punch but the verses are full of character. It's just a shame Liberty Walk wasn't the lead single since it basically is Can't Be Tamed, only better.

I only said Robot wouldn't get radio play because of the way she slurs her vocals on the chorus. It's the same with Permanent December and Scars. I've grown to get used to it and even enjoy it but it ruins their chances of radio play I think.

TMLP is IMO the weakest on the entire album, it is so bland sorry! It really is nothing special, it is basically a rip off of Kelly Clarkson - Since U Been Gone and Jessica Simpson - Come On Over in one song. And if she wants to get her fan base back it must be with 'Stay', on her fan site forums/Hannah Montana fans everybody is just boasting about it and saying its 'The Climb' part 2 etc, it will be huge just look at it on iTunes! TMLP is nowhere near as popular as 'Stay' and 'Liberty Walk' and all 3 appeal to her old fan base, the only song on the album that wont appeal to her old fan base is CBT really!

PD has one of the most commercial chorus' I've heard, it's the verses that could downplay in it's failure?

He is not saying it is not commercial, when she reaches the high notes on PD and 'Robot' her vocals are "slurred" and sort-of electro-fixed which is a little harsh on the ear and not appealing for radio. But it is much more prominent in 'Robot' than PD, I'm sure they can edit PD for radio though...
