It's growing pretty tiresome. :/ Perhaps when Keisha's solo career inevitably falls flat on its arse then people will finally realise she's not the "queen" everyone's making her out to be? Hell, if you asked 100 random people who Keisha Buchanan even was, I bet half or more wouldn't be able to tell you.

It's just so annoying to see people always hating Jade and loving Keisha, but then when people like me like 4.0, the Keisha lovers immediately call us loons. -_-

To reply to the above criticisms (as well as Aidan's typical sheepish duplicating of replies) as follows:

 

- When Amelle took over Mutya's catalogue, that was different, because all she re-recorded of her vocals was an album for it's release, same for Jade and Sweet 7 and nobody complains about her stealing Keisha's vocals on that. But it's different to re-record an old track than it is to perform it live, nobody would expect Amelle to RECORD vocals for 2.0 stuff, or Heidi for 1.0 stuff, so why is it ok for Jade to re-record 3.0 stuff? It's just like the ultimate insult as if Keisha was never there, despite being the last remaining original member and the reason that the band even existed in the first place.

 

- You all may be "sick of the Keisha love" but I'm so sick of the love 4.0 in general get in this forum :/ The way you all go on, people would think Keisha is like the devil reincarnate or something and 4.0 are a completley respectable act. Keisha is not innocent, nor is she an angel but I just cannot take 4.0 seriously as an act because theres no original members and it's an INSULT to Keisha, Mutya and Siobhan that the name Sugababes still exists. Clearly alot of the public agrees with that sentiment or Sweet 7 wouldn't have flopped quite so hard on it's arse due t the backlash it DID unndoubtedly receive.

Yes, when the release of 'Overloaded' was announced, it was originally going to have the entire back catalogue re-recorded with Heidi and Amelle's vocals, but they scrapped that idea because I think there was a bit of backlash from fans about it.

1] Not enough people worship Keisha here

2] Far too many give 4.0 more credit than they are due

3] 4.0 destroyed what remained of the brands credibility, anyone who can not see this/understand this is a complete tool

4] Allegedly 1.0 tracks were re-recorded, but the source for the rumours were from the Sun and were therefore discredited by the babes official forum :lol:

5] Mutya apparently denied permission for her stuff to be re-recorded hence no Amelle on Overload etc

6] The rumour was marked out as bull$h!t by another quote from the babes that was more reliable that said the GH was to be a close to the Mutya era and a look back at the babes history, re-recording things would have left us with an inaccurate history

7] No mention was ever made again of this rumour or the tracks so it's highly likely it was $h!t and no such thing was done.

WRONG. :)

 

For the above reasons and the fact that to re-record most of the back catalogue would require Mutya's permission and she'd never give it considering the album would be a royalty gold mine for her. Plus the point of a GH is not to be filled with tracks that kinda sound similar to the originals but aren't the originals.

 

The rumour caused a couple of hours of horror before we all realised the source was the Sun and it was therefore $h!te.

 

 

 

 

As much as i hate Girls as a single, she touches it i will hunt her down and subject her to a good 1000hours worth of the original version.

 

I still object to Amelle re-recording Follow Me Home and any rumours of the re-recording of old material by any line up makes me recoil in horror. I'd even be outraged if 2.0 re-recorded Run For Cover for example.

 

Re-recording previous singles is something i abhor and i object to it in any fashion by any line up. Rape it live all you want, just don't do it in the studio.

 

 

 

If this goes ahead they are doing themselves no favours with the disillusioned fans that Keisha took with her. They should be winning people like Me, James and Jark back not proving us right/pushing us away. It's not as if they can survive as a commercial entity without us.

I think no one gave Amelle as much hate because Reel gurl Mutya left willingly. She wasn't backstabbed, kicked out and publicly trashed. Nothing against Jade but it doesn't look very good to take a job knowing full well someone is getting totally screwed out of 12 years of hard work. Mutya was okay with being replaced. I mean I doubt she liked Amelle but she probably had no issue with 3.0 singing the Sugababes catalogue.

 

And I don't personally hate Jade. But her covers/rapes do not do Keisha's original vocals justice.

 

And I would consider it Keisha's catalogue because she was the longest lasting babe, the driving force behind the group, the best singer (besides Mutya probably) the lead vocalist in most 4.0 material and the most prominent (and probably better) writer. Plus she's a fierce bitch.
