Its only dropping because the album version is climbing. Combined, the single and album version are actually higher than where the single version would have been, so she's actually going up, rather than down!

Why makes you say that? Alex doesnt have an official date yet does it? I doubt it will be released until the latter half of August as it hasnt been sent to radio yet has it? Plus it may not reach #1 anyway.

I know I'm just worried the single version gets deleted now as a result and then she has a McFly/Atomic Kitten drop! Can you imagine how quickly the single would've fallen out of the chart if it was not for the album release, it would have had an even more LOL chart run than Selena Gomez had with 'Naturally' and Miley singles generally have really decent longevity bar 'Fly On The Wall' of course!

Yeah I think it will coincidently be released in the week X Factor kicks off. :P So the release date will probably be 23rd August.

 

At first I liked the song, then hated the lyrics but now I realise it's not supposed to be serious. It's supposed to be fun and a tribute to her paternity.

 

Regarding the Sats, I don't think they'll get to #1 anyway. From what I've heard of MY, it's very generic and dull. Only if they had an Ego 2.0. I still think MY will peak at #4.

You should be creating a thread in the Pop Forum for this kind of discussion, as everyone else does.

 

Alternatively, create a separate thread about the song's chart performance.

 

I know there's no Alex forum, I'm simply pointing out that there are more appropriate places on Buzzjack (Pop Forum) where you can rave (drone) on about Alex to your heart's content :lol:

I didn't expect Shakira to benefit from the England game yesterday, but it's great. At the rate it's going I think it could manage to break the top 10!

I love the foreign lanague versions, but not cos they're funny, cos they're great. Niancy Ajram from the Arabic version of the girl from the Chinese version (whatever she's called) are amazing :wub:
