I just might have found my new favourite band...

Heard this a couple of weeks ago, went straight to #1 in NZ. Love It. Doubt it'll be released here though :(

VERY limited 7" release on 6th September before their major label take over for the new year/sound of 2011 shizzle...

Oh YAY. I look forward to this being raped by the Skins crowd when it inevitably gets played during an episode of the next series.

Album drops on Sept 6 in New Zealand only, suppose it will only be out internationally next year? Ah, I'm still looking forward anyway. "The Sun" sounds very promising too. <3

All Of This is, their first single in NZ, is easily as good as Young Blood. The video is fantastic, and so are the lyrics, which are nominated for a major songwriting award for New Zealand music (Young Blood is also nominated).

 

 

Their debut album has also been named Passive Me, Agressive You after the lyrics in this song. For anyone who is interested they have two EPs already released (both contain six songs). One is called This Machine and the other No Light. Some of these songs from the EPs have videos for them, my favourite being Serenade, which is a bit more light hearted.

New NZ single, Punching In A Dream - sounds more MGMT than the last one! Really like it though, it's not as instantly catchy but I was hooked by the third listen;

 

 

Chris approves, not as good as All of This or Young Blood though, anyone got a HQ mp3?

It'a ok. I dont see what everyone is raving about. Reminds me of The Veronicas.

I love the video for Punching In A Dream, but it's their weakest single out of the three so far, but like gooddelta said, it'a more of a grower. Their debut, Passive Me, Agressive You is released in NZ today, hopefully some album tracks will leak onto youtube soon.

just listened to the album, incredible. debut of the year easily i think.

I like the album on first listen, but don't love, a few tracks are filler but there are some really strong melodies too. Young Blood is still my highlight but there are a handful of other potential singles. Sounds like a grower too.

Surprised to see such a discussion in here, the best bands usually go unnoticed on BJ. So good.
