June 28, 201015 yr If Gorillaz could reach platinum level, that'd be impressive considering that they have had no hits.
June 28, 201015 yr Go Plan B! :D Once his movie comes out and he's had more singles I can see this going to maybe 2x platinum.

July 1, 201014 yr A bit sad that only 11 albums have sold enough to be Platinum this year :( Though we're only half way through the year and X Factor season is soon!!! I hope Kylie can be one of the best-sellers of the year. I think she will be Top 3 as she has an advantage x

July 2, 201014 yr :cheer: :cheer: Mumford and sons getting the smash they deserve my fave album in the chart.
July 2, 201014 yr I wonder if anyone will topple Gaga. Hopefully when Alejandro has left the singles charts the album will begin to decline, but will no doubt rise again when her new single/album is released. :/ Maybe Plan B could do it if he continues to have consistant sales, but i'd say Alicia is the best bet as her album is being re-released and it'll probably be in the top 40 until that time comes. I'm not sure if Eminem will be able to stick around this time especially after Relapse only lasted about 20 weeks top 40 last year.

Also, all of her closest challengers are running out of singles to promote with. Far more likely that a yet-to-be-released album in the autumn will end up as the year's #1. Susan Boyle, for instance. July 2, 201014 yr Pixie Lott next week should reach 300,000 album sales this year :) And should within the next week reach 550,000 downloads.. it will reach 600,000 soon aswell !! Go Pixie !!1

Far more likely that a yet-to-be-released album in the autumn will end up as the year's #1. Susan Boyle, for instance. Yeah but Plan B is only on his third single and the album has been out for three and a half months, only spending one week outside the top 40. Gaga is on her final single and will begin to decline in sales. Plus Plan B has a movie out the same name as the album which will feature songs from DOSB and will give the album a big boost when it's released I suspect. But yeah, Subo might do it again. Or JLS.
July 2, 201014 yr Gaga is on final sales and will reach 715,000 or something by sunday. The thing is later on when there is a decline the Fame Monster will be in Hmv for around £3-6pound which alot of people will buy.. Look at Bep recently and Jay Z
July 2, 201014 yr Take That will trample everyone later in the year. Scissor Sisters might do well too.
July 2, 201014 yr I think Kings of Leon and Coldplay will be up there by the end of 2010 if both their albums are released.
July 3, 201014 yr Author Take That will trample everyone later in the year. Scissor Sisters might do well too. I didn't know TT were even releasing a new album this year - if they are, it'll be a titanic battle with SuBo though, I think you cn safely forget the Scissor Sisters though - by the looks of the Mids, they can't even match Eminem's 2nd week sales.
July 3, 201014 yr Author I think Kings of Leon and Coldplay will be up there by the end of 2010 if both their albums are released. Coldplay would be more likely to challenge for YTD #1 IMO. They are more of an albums act than KoL, and therefore not as heavily reliant on successful singles. I can't see KoL producing anything as popular as SoF or US again.
