Posted June 28, 201015 yr I've been waiting ages for someone to post on this but as no-one will ... here I go! In all the 'excitement' (for me - not) of the England WC team and Andy (personality of a pack-of-six Wilko's scourers) Murray's feats (so far) at Wimbledon ... we seem to have lost sight that Ulster man Graeme McDowell won the US Open Golf tournament last week! Or doesn't golf count as a sport these days? Norma
July 6, 201015 yr :P Same thing as with the cricket team, it's overshadowed by a bigger sport Football World Cup > Cricket World Cup Wimbledon > Golf That said, they did cover the US Open on 5 Live quite well, I felt.
July 11, 201015 yr Golf is an evil satanic waste of countryside. The Open is in St Andrews as of tomorrow, i'm going to be leaving 2hours early for work because of the traffic. They are expecting 75000 people mon to fri and 150000 on sat and sun. St Andrews is a small place, the roads around it are small and twisty. By the end of the week if i haven't murdered someone it'll be cause for celebration. And Golf isn't a sport, it has absolutely no physical benefits what so ever.
