And big drop for Kylie! :o Looks like Alejandro will stay top 10 for the rest of the week now.
Isn't the album out now? The album version is probably rising.

I haven't been paying attention to this thread though recently.

JLS' lead not as big as I thought!

Kylie's drop isn't that dramatic, it's because the new releases have climbed above her and bumped her down. Also there are other versions in there, and she'll still have some physicals so she'll be securely top 10 this week still officially. Plus she has a strong hold in the top 10 and there'll be nothing else coming in to knock her out.

I'm just hoping she storms it out of the park with album sales this week. As long as everyone "gets outta her way" tomorrow, Al! :cheer:

Kelis - 4th July :') rise my baby, rise!
I'm not surprised 4th of July is flopping. It's a very good song but it doesn't feel like a single somehow.

It's not right for a UK audience, she should release Home <3

Yeah, you're right. Kylie will probably still be top 10 officially. And for the majority of the week, I expect 3OH!3/Ke$ha and Eliza to climb into the iTunes top 10, replacing Kylie and Example.

Oh my! It looks JLS have a strong contender this week: Yolanda :o

Their slender lead suggests they will have only one week at #1, max.

Aren't they releasing an album to go with this, though? There's doesn't even seem to be one in the 'coming soon' section of the New Release list.

I guess Cowell is following the recent trend in urban music (JLS are R&B, therefore urban - so let's not get into genre definition again), of sacrificing album sales in pursuit of singles success.

JLS' début wasn't released until months and months after Beat Again - I'm assuming they're going for the same release pattern this time, summer single, X Factor performance single, album, one last single, recede into the toxic waste until following summer.

I'm surprised there's been relatively little cherry-picking from Kylie's album - I guess most of her fans are loyal enough to buy the whole thing. :)

Anyway, the full list...

10. All the Lovers - Kylie Minogue

121. All the Lovers - Kylie Minogue

256. Get Outta My Way - Kylie Minogue

277. All the Lovers - Kylie Minogue

300. All the Lovers - Kylie Minogue

315. Get Outta My Way - Kylie Minogue

598. All the Lovers (Wawa & Mmb Anthem Remix) - Kylie Minogue

846. Aphrodite - Kylie Minogue

954. Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) - Kylie Minogue

974. Aphrodite - Kylie Minogue

I'm not really seeing that since it's at #6. But anyway, :w00t:

Hardly, better to get two singles out of the way and release the album near Christmas than release now. If their debut had come out after "Beat Again" I don't think it would have sold nearly as much.

Is Professor Green a pretty good bet for #1 next week then?

Yep they are going for the same release pattern. According to HMV the 2nd album is due for release on 22nd November, but could be sooner/later .. I know that they have finished writing it all & are now recording everything

It's not going to be as big as the first one anyway. We all know that.

JLS aren't signed to Cowell's label though ;)

When did I say it was going to be as big as the first one ? :S
