May 9, 201114 yr I've had Ruslana 'Wild Dances' on repeat for the last half hour. Definitely one of my ALL TIME favourite Eurovision tracks.
May 10, 201114 yr Eurovision iTunes update; Blue - I Can (#39 and #138) Jedward - Lipstick (#512) Kati Wolf - What About My Dreams (#691) Lena - Satellite (#741) Alexander Rybak - Fairytale (#753) Not much yet, the Wolf herself is the only beneficiary of this semi, should shoot into the top 100 or so after the final. Fairytale always seems to be floating about and has done for the past two years  Nice to see Satellite back though! Expect to see Jedward higher after Thursday and god help us if they reach the final, I think a second official top 40 hit could beckon for them...
May 12, 201114 yr The remaining are still absent from UK iTunes (thinking about chart impact now it's the final week!); Romania: Hotel FM - Change Turkey: Yuksek Sadakat - Live It Up Ukraine: Mika Newton - Angel Sweden: Eric Saade - Popular Blue and A Friend In London weren't available three weeks ago but are now. The former though is unavailable across Europe still :( Do they not want a hit? Likewise Eric Saade, regardless of how well it does in the contest, I could easily see it go top 100 on iTunes here, but obviously not if it's not available. Another Satellite situation here (except I don't think that the winner is one of these four). Popular released today :D Ukraine and Romania remain unavailable but I doubt anybody actually cares...at least all of the important songs are on iTunes :cheer:
May 12, 201114 yr I have finally decided with my favourites here! It's 1. UK obviously, great song, and it's Blue after all, I used to love them. 2. Estonia. VERY good song, love the "mysterious" sound of verses 3. Austria. They have delivered great vocal performance, hopefully it'll do well.
May 13, 201114 yr iTunes update; UK: Blue - I Can (41/133) Ireland: Jedward - Lipstick (116/434) Sweden: Eric Saade - Popular (244) Denmark: A Friend In London - New Tomorrow (314) Hungary: Kati Wolf - What About My Dreams (366) Azerbaijan: Ell & Nikki - Running Scared (462) Latvia: Musiqq - Angel In Disguise (1016) ----------------------- Germany 2010: Lena - Satellite (278) Norway 2009: Alexander Rybak - Fairytale (437) Pretty sure all of UK to Azerbaijan are going top 100 on iTunes after the final, UK and Ireland will be top 40, along with the winner if it's not one of these of course! Sweden as usual should do respectably well here regardless of where they finish, just like The Ark and Malena Ernman did. Now PLEASE will radio open their eyes to this and support more Swedish pop!
May 13, 201114 yr Why was I not informed that Nadine Beiler released an album two days ago! A routine search of iTunes and suddenly I have £7.99 to spend unexpectedly :drama: This wouldn't have been a problem if those iTunes vouchers I and a few others 'won' in the Buzzjack anniversary competitions two months ago had actually been sent to us! edit: Oh, it's £5.99 on Amazon :cheer: Sjonni's Friends, Paradise Oskar, Amaury Vassili and Getter Jaani also have new albums housing their Eurovision entries out on iTunes - I can't say the first three interest me in any way whatsoever but Getter's sounds like it might have some BJSC mining potential! As soon as I get those vouchers I'll download it!
May 13, 201114 yr They're talking about the contest on The One Show - Charlotte Perrelli - Hero clip playing and Sanna Nielsen - I'm In Love :o :o :o AMAZING to see that on UK TV!
May 13, 201114 yr I saw that too, Charlotte Perrelli 'Hero' is one of my all time favourite Eurovision entries. LOVE it. I even know all the choreography. :kink:
May 13, 201114 yr I saw that too, Charlotte Perrelli 'Hero' is one of my all time favourite Eurovision entries. LOVE it. I even know all the choreography. :kink: It's my favourite song of all time, in or out of Eurovision
May 13, 201114 yr OMG. How did a clip of I'm In Love make it onto UK TV? :o They were talking about how we don't take it seriously but other nations do, Sweden in particular and started chatting about Melodifestivalen - cut to clip of Sanna  An inspired choice!
May 13, 201114 yr There was someone on the radio this morning (I don't know who or what station) when I was out shopping and they were saying stuff like ''Eurovision used to be about good songs, but in the last few years everyone is entering novelty entries because it's one big pantomime and we're not in on the joke'. To say I wanted to DESTROY the radio is putting it mildly.

They are my top 3 too, but I can't choose between Estonia and the UK for 1st!
May 13, 201114 yr I've had Ruslana 'Wild Dances' on repeat for the last half hour. Definitely one of my ALL TIME favourite Eurovision tracks. Most definitely the greatest Eurovision song ever, Ruslana is a hero <3 Best ESC songs ever: 1. Ruslana - Wild Dances 2. Safura - Drip Drop 3. Sirusho - Qele Qele 4. AySel and Arash - Always 5. Marija Serafovic - Molitva :kink: Edited May 13, 201114 yr by xxxxxx
May 13, 201114 yr Always good to see some DRIP DROP love, although I wouldn't call it 2nd best ESC of all time good.
May 13, 201114 yr They were talking about how we don't take it seriously but other nations do, Sweden in particular and started chatting about Melodifestivalen - cut to clip of Sanna  An inspired choice! It was amazing  I was there in the Italy minipop t-shirt :D
May 14, 201114 yr They were talking about how we don't take it seriously but other nations do, Sweden in particular and started chatting about Melodifestivalen - cut to clip of Sanna  An inspired choice! I blame the UK Press. They should all be utterly f***ing slaughtered. Melodifestivalen  Sanna
May 14, 201114 yr Melodifestivalen  Sanna   She can be added to the list of things that nobody ever thought would happen in the UK that have happened this week; > Molly Sanden gets a mention on the BBC > A clip of Sanna Nielsen's I'm In Love gets shown on BBC One/Melodifestivalen is discussed > Eric Saade breaks the UK iTunes top 300 and un-Eurovision related... > Two Romanians look set to have simulataneous top 20 hits, making them the big chart powerhouse behind the US () > Caro Emerald looks set to finally crack the singles top 75/have a hit album next week! I love May  I'm sure it's no coincidence that it always seems to be the only month that the UK isn't completely anti-Euro music. Last year we had Edward Maya doing well in May, Agnes the year before!
