December 1, 201014 yr Slovakia have withdrawn :( . Can't say I'm that surprised, but it's always a shame to lose a country from the lineup.
December 3, 201014 yr http://www.oikotimes.com/v2/index.php?file...les&id=9339 Qatar? This is getting ridiculous
December 3, 201014 yr I think esctoday has a story about Qatar one or two years ago, can't really remember what that came to. But the more songs the better I guess :D
December 3, 201014 yr What happened with that 'Our Sound' contest by the way? I was quite intrigued about what Australia might send to that!
December 3, 201014 yr What happened with that 'Our Sound' contest by the way? I was quite intrigued about what Australia might send to that! The OurSound twitter hasn't tweeted since June, and the facebook page posted a message in September saying it was "Just delayed (again). Not cancelled.".
December 4, 201014 yr Yeah, so right now, nothing :( SHame because Cambodia (oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh oh oh wo oh - Kim Wilde) had already chosen their entrant, and the Australian selection had started. I think (hope, pray) they're still trying to convince Japan to join.
December 5, 201014 yr Montenegro have applied for 2011 in case they are able to take part, but countries are allowed to withdraw their applications before 25th December with no punishment. Still, at least they want to take part :D http://esctoday.com/news/read/16300
December 16, 201014 yr HOSTS CONFIRMED[/i] Seems that Germany are sticking with the one male, two females format. http://www.eurovision.tv/save-files/img/upload/news/2011/hosts-RESIZE-250-.jpg Anke Engelke, Judith Rakers & Stefan Raab! Anke was born in Canada, and can speak English, French & German. She also has presenting experience and so does Judith. No explaining really needed for who Stefan is. December 22, 201014 yr Just watching the Eurovision 2010...gahhh there were some p*** poor songs. Just had Ukraine, France, Romania and Russia. Obviously Romania was good, but the other three were very mehhh.
December 23, 201014 yr I'm properly getting hyped/excited about ESC. :w00t: Was just listening to 2010 songs yesterday.
December 23, 201014 yr Me too, it always happens around this time of year. After Christmas (and Albania choosing a good song again please god) I'm going to be proper ESC mental again :D
December 24, 201014 yr Me too, it always happens around this time of year. After Christmas (and Albania choosing a good song again please god) I'm going to be proper ESC mental again :D Aurela FTW :) I do hope she comes with a banger.
December 24, 201014 yr Me too :) You're so lucky getting Eurovision for Christmas, I can't believe we should know your song tomorrow :w00t:
December 28, 201014 yr Hungary have confirmed that they are returning. So Austria, Hungary, Italy & San Marino are all returning, Slovakia are withdrawing and Montenegro won't be returning, neither are Andorra, Czech Republic or Monaco. 42 countries, I expect that will be the final number as we should've heard about any other changes by now.
December 28, 201014 yr Completely random comment but interesting in Eastenders tonight, there was a scene with Ronnie and Jean, Jean was listening to Cliff Richard's Congratulations (ESC UK 1968), with Ronnie of course played by Samantha Womack, who represented us in the contest in 1991 :funky:
December 28, 201014 yr Cool  Actually I've just realised that as Italy has not withdrawn before Christmas, they will DEFINITELY enter next year :w00t:
December 29, 201014 yr OMG, Jemini's Cry Baby is playing on Sky channel The Vault as I type  I was in the cupboard looking for something with the TV on in the background and knew I recognised that cheap beat
