July 5, 201015 yr Keisha said all the songs in the album will be better than Fearless. Album of the year? :P
July 5, 201015 yr That's always subjective. I still have the feeling it's gonna be a bad r&b driven album. Fearless was really a surprise, it should be on the album.
July 6, 201015 yr I may be in the minority here, but does anyone else think this solo career is heading for a complete nosedive? I mean, will there really be that much interest in her? Especially now it's nearly a year since she was ousted, and no-one's really bothered or interested anymore about the bullying/unfair ousting accusations. Say the name "Keisha Buchanan" to a lot of people and they'll have no idea who you're talking about. I just don't see her being any more successful than Mutya, who even with several killer songs has now faded away into obscurity. However good the material is, I don't see anyone other than hardcore Sugababes/Keisha fans being particularly interested.
July 6, 201015 yr Awesome! good comments on youtube too :) cant wait to buy her album, does anyone know when its out??

The release date is yet to be announced.
July 6, 201015 yr I think it's likely her solo career will end up in a similar state to Mutya's. It'll start off quite succesfully but will just nose-dive completly as it continues.
July 7, 201015 yr I can't see a way she'd do better than Mutya, Mutya was always MUCH more popular as a member of the Sugababes, more talented and vocally superior and respected, and had pretty strong material herself.
July 7, 201015 yr I wouldn't be so pessimistic about Keisha. Yes, she was never so popular as Mutya but you don't take into account the personality factor. Mutya during her career seemed for me a bit... eh, bored? At the same time Keisha is much more enthusiastic. Plus Keisha seems like much stronger marketer. She pretty much knows the current (and maybe the future?) music market and knows what the audience wants to listen from her. Of course, C&S and S7 don't prove that but anyway. I think Keisha will be fine if her material is strong enough. The other factors (the voice, the enthusiasm, the appeal, the marketing) are on her side already I think.
July 7, 201015 yr Emotion in her voice: CHECK! Empowering lyrics: CHECK! Crazy ad-libs at the end: CHECK! Keisha is FEARLESS and will destroy the HATAS! Speaking of, why was my witty "unlike sugafakes" subtitle edited while the first post calling either me or Queen Keisha a bitch is allowed??? That's hella shady. It's not my fault if a Keisha demo proves all the hatas wrong and shows who was the real talent that carried the rest of the dead weight... Doubt it, the songs incredibly MOR and her voice is nothing special.
July 8, 201015 yr It could also help that Keisha was actually fired from the group with a big scandal whereas Mutya walked. :o
July 8, 201015 yr It could also help that Keisha was actually fired from the group with a big scandal whereas Mutya walked. :o Yeah but tbh, I don't think anyone actually cares over in the UK
July 8, 201015 yr Yeah but tbh, I don't think anyone actually cares over in the UK  Really? You'd be surprised. A huge chunk of the Sugababes fan base left with Keisha.

Yeh I agree Mutya wasn't really forward with her career where as keisha is likable and really driven, she'll be fine I think she may do a pixie lott. Have 1 or two big singles then later on in the campaign get the album sales
July 8, 201015 yr Really? You'd be surprised. A huge chunk of the Sugababes fan base left with Keisha. Yeah but I just highly doubt that Keisha will make it big as a solo artist. :P
July 8, 201015 yr At their peak the Sugababes had three massive triple plat albums, if she can tap into that market, she'll be fine Hmm...I just don't see her managing it myself. Mutya couldn't manage it, and as someone said she was always the bigger personality, and the one everyone knew more in the group. Radio support will be key obviously, and I expect Radio 1 to at least b-list her, but you never know with them. They playisted AAG and WMK pretty quickly and for quite a while, so maybe they've got something against Keisha now and will ignore her completely. :P
July 8, 201015 yr it took them ages to A-List About a Girl. Did it? It went on their playlist pretty quickly though didn't it?
July 8, 201015 yr Did it? It went on their playlist pretty quickly though didn't it? It was A-listed after it was top-5 in the first midweeks. :P
July 8, 201015 yr To be totally Honest. If her debut single is good she will do well but if the song is crap then it will flop
July 9, 201015 yr gah i miss Keisha :snif: I've finally made the decision that About a Girl is better with her, the song just has a completely different feel.
